Default Windshield top molding

Had a mobile windshield replacement company come today to do their thing and replace my windshield. Anyway, not pleased with the fitment of the top windshield molding...it looks like crap. How hard is this to DIY? I can get a new OEM molding piece cheap. Anyone done this themselves?

Check Z1 Motorsports.com for the molding.
I personally would not try to do this if you don't have any experience. Best to get safelite, and stand by to observe the installation.
One other thing, get a copy of the Factory Service Manual. Rockauto.com has them under the literature section.
BTW, it very cheep and comes on a CD.

Good luck.

The FSM doesn't really give a whole lot of guidance on replacing the upper molding other than merely saying to remove it and install it securely.

Thanks-yeah I'm having Safelite redo it. They also damaged my pillar trim above the drivers side and have to order that and replace the whole piece. Supposedly here next week and they can fix it all.
