Electrical system sudden failure
My 2007 350Z Roadster started normally. I was backing out of a parking space when the electrical system failed. All systems lost power and car "died". No lights, ignition, instruments, etc. About 20 minutes later, the electrical system came back entirely on its own! Car started normally and I was able to drive home about 30 miles with no further problems.
What could be the cause? Alternator seems to be working because battery appears fully charged. Whatever it is, it is an intermittent problem since I did nothing to fix it.
Thanks for any advice!

These cars are approaching 20 years old and we should expect some problems to crop up. My first suggestion is to scan the diagnostic system for any codes held in memory to find a clue. Follow that up with a close look at all the connections in the car, starting with the charging system and examining critical systems like the ECM, IPDM and fuse boxes. Clean any suspicious connectors and use dielectric grease to securely put connectors together again.
