Default popcharger gone bad...wild

I've had the popcharger on for more then 200 miles...cleaned it once...and reoiled it...I don't believe I over oiled it.

-car started to *choke choke* when i'm at idle at a red light. I thought it was going to die but it suddenly goes back to normal.

It's been happening for the past 3 days...normal then *choke choke*...finally the SES lights pops up! GRRRRRRR

So I decided to take off the popcharger and let it run in the garage at idle...and it was running well til *choke choke*.

Anyone have any ideas?...I decided to put the stock air box back and tommorow morning I'm gonna take it to the dealer.

-on top of that... passenger window isn't going up/down...I believe it's because my passengers slam the door hard all the time!...I have to tell new passenger to gently close the door and still "SLAM!"

-and clicking sound which i've assumed rear axel spline from the threads.

any thoughts and advice would be stress relieving. thanx

Wow, you oiled it at only 200 miles? Sounds like the MAF.... lots of others here have experienced the exact same thing when re-oiling their air filters....

what is the correct way to clean a maf.. i have heard 98% alcohol or something like that... definitely not the normal rubbing alcohol..
fill a ziplock with alcohol, insert MAF, close and shake.... then let air dry...
does this sound reasonable?

i also read somewhere that electronics cleaner may be harmful....

anyone know for sure?

thanks!

you only need to clean them at most every 15000 miles. though some recommend every 30000miles on k&n filters.

I have the Nismo CAI and one day my check engine went on while test driving my Z at the dealer for another unrelated z problem and they replaced my entire throttle body, said it got shorted out supposedly.Anyway they did say **** about my intake eventhough I was waiting for them to say something so I could jam them if they didn't back ther product , no choking though. Through on the old air box like you have and go to the dealer , do'nt say anything about the JW popcharger, they might chicken **** and not want to warranty if any parts have to be replaced.
