Default Updated window motors?

I hope someone, maybe Jeff or Jason from Performance can help with my question. I am just wanting to know if Nissan has an updated window motor to replace the ones that are going bad. Mine quit coming down last week and I am hoping that Nissan has corrected whatever is going wrong with the motors. I don't want to just replace it with one that will go bad on me again in another year or year and a half. If that is the case I would have to pay for the next one.

I would like an answer to this problem also. My driver side window just stopped doing it's "drop-a-quarter-inch" thingie when the door is opened, this week.

I also don't like the idea of having to remove the interior of the door every 12K miles.

I would like to know also. I have my windows adjusted last year because the glass was slamning on the door trim. It's better but i won't be supprised if the problem returns. Also, i just noticed that the passenger handle was reinstalled with only one screw. Not sure I wan't to deal with the door problems again...

Had the same problem, the window motor started to groan trying to move the window and finally just quit. Just got my 03 back from the dealer today, they replaced the passenger motor and regulator with no charge, I'm still under warranty at 29K miles.

Same prob;em with the passenger window - - just stopped dropping an inch. Going to the dealer for replacement parts on Tues. Also noted grease marking on both windows in the sight of the mirrors.

Really? window motors are covered until 100k??? That's awesome if so. I drive my car like it's going out of style, so I have 33k miles on it. I just took it in this morning finally, after several months of my drive side sticking in the up position. Yesterday it stuck in the down position so that pushed the issue to make me take it in They replaced it, and did an oil change, in about 2 hours and I'll be picking it back up at lunch.

What all do we lose at 36k miles under coverage? Is the next milestone 5 years or 60k?

Did they replace the motors and regulator in that time or just the motor?

I had the same problem - driver's side window would not drop down the 1/2 inch. Took it to dealer and they replaced the motor and regulator earlier this week.

I heard horror stories of the dealer messing up trim, installing the door with 1/2 in crack, etc etc... but the install looks fine so far.

I think that the window might be off by 1/2 degree in the fully up position allowing some wind noise due to an incomplete seal. I am going to be driving 5 hours @ highway speeds today and will check it out.

I believe the motors and regulators are new b/c the TSB 04040 said this problem only affected 350Zs built Jan 27, 2004 and earlier from Tochigi plant and Jan 30, 2004 from Oppama plant.

Maybe they distributed the new parts around those dates

I just bought my 2005 350Z - I am having the same problems at 1,200 miles. I thought these problems were addressed in this model year. I'd guess I am wrong...
