Default brake light coming on for no reason

Hey guys, has anyone had any problems with the hand brake indiicator light coming on during a hard acceleration? Mine did it a couple times tonight I'm gonna see if I can replicate it tomorrow. Just wondering if this is a problem people are having and/or what it could be.

Check your brake fluid level.

devildogg is exactly right. This just happened to me three days ago. I bought some brake fluid, filled the reservoir back to the level line and i havent had it since.

Do this and the light will stop coming on. I believe though that this is and should only be a temporary fix cause I have now heard that it is a sign and indicator of when you need to get new brake pads. I am almost at 30k miles so i am basically right on target there. just waiting for the weekend.
