Question Interruption in power at WOT

At WOT in 1st gear pointed straight ahead in good, dry conditions, with VDC on or off (it doesn't seem to matter) the power cuts off completely for a split second between 6000 and 6500 rpms. I don't seem to have this interruption in the other gears at WOT though.

I have the z-tube (I have the 6MT G coupe), grounding kit, and a pulley on the engine as well as a full catback exhaust. I've never used an oiled K&N/popcharger type filter.

The good thing is is that I can 'replicate' it traffic conditions permitting. The bad thing is that my dealership (mod *****, my apologies to *****) will say that the lip spoiler on my trunk voids the warranty. A slight exaggeration, but you get the message. I would rather gnaw through my leg stuck in a bear trap than take it there for service. Since they are the only game in the state and within 3 hours, I'm gonna try to figure it out myself (unless someone here can tell me that they can hook it up to a diagnostic machine which will spit out an error code.)

I'm thinking that it could be a fuel pump, fuel injector, or the MAF sensor. However, I'm thinking that if it was any of these, it would do it in all the gears.

Anyone have a similar issue or have any ideas/suggestions?

Default Update

Well, I took it out during lunch and now 2nd gear has the same exact problem so I'm guessing it'll be the same in the rest of the gears. I'm coming up on my 15K miles maintenance and I might just have to let the dealership take a look at it.

Any help/suggestions?

Check the Oxygen Sensor wires. In eng. compartment in front of firewall just behind engine. Maybe???

you also might have a wear point in the TP Sensor... all the TPS is, is a potentiameter, variable resistor... so if you have a comfortable point where you keep the pedal then the contact will wear at that point... so the ECU will think that you aren't on the pedal... I highly doubt this is it if you don't have that many miles on your car... hope this helps...
