Default Winter storage prep

My Z and I live in Michigan. I don't think the 4.5" clearance underneath the car will do well in the Michigan snow.

So, I am planning to store it throughout the snowy months (November-February, I hope that is all).

What do I need to do to the car to store it properly for a period of 4 months or so?

what I did last winter in NH:
- changed oil/filter.
- 2 gallons of fuel with stabilizer added.
- didn't disconnect battery b/c of all computer equip. concerned about loosing data if disconnected too long.
- if vermine in your garage, plug air intake, exhausts with rags.
- started the car every 2 weeks for 20mn.
- changed oil/filter at spring time.

Thanks for the info. The only uncertainty I have is the use of fuel stabilizer. Some say do, some say dont. I'll call Nissan...

Fill the tank and DO NOT add fuel stabilizer. (unless you replaced the engine in your Z with the one from your Toro lawnmower).

If you were planning to store for a much longer period, there would be significantly different recommendations- empty tank, etc. but for 3-4 months, your fuel will not degrade by any appreciable amount.
I have been storing a summer car since 1989 and learned a thing or two during that time.

Since I live in FL what I do is just drive the car and watch out for palm trees...seriously though when I was in TN I would have to watch out for those random storms they were never ready for there...one thing I will say is that if you have any aftermarket wheels, do not even think about driving with them they will be ruined by salt which is what happened to a beautiful set of HRE 540's full polish that I had in 19" I literally had to throw away the wheels...

click on that thread that zand02max put up.
also, check the tire air valve threading. if its dry when you loosen the cap, put a little bit of vasaline on the thread. it just keeps it oiled up from rusting.
