The Time has come for BBS (PICS)
got these on my 05 silverstone with 12k miles, i posted another thread in the suspension forum asking something else along with these pics, but these are 19inch BBS RS-GT's Diamond black with machined lip NEW front and rear wrapped in Michilen PS2's stock suspension, go to the suspension thread and read my link, to the guy who know how its done let me know on lowering it pref H & R sport springs, comment on my new shoes, im finally different from other silvers
now what yall see in my texas Z?

for the lazy https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/173346-bbs-wheels-showoff-pics-helo-needed-on-suspension.html
what are the specs of the wheels? (offsets and width)
i don't know about ride quality of h&r or hotchkis, i have JIC coilovers and was able to drop it to my liking while mainting a nice ride (shocks are adjustable and keep in mind there's no such this as too stiff for me
)
w/springs only, i'd be concerned with your shocks not holding up but again, i haven't gone this route so i'm just stating common effects w/the spring only swap.
if you lower it, the wheels are going to have more negative camber which might give you a "sunk" look depending on what offset the wheels are. if so, you might need adjustable arms to correct this to a certain degree if you want it in spec. i track my car so i actually wanted the extra negative camber that comes with lowering the Z (i also have adjustable arms to correct this issue if too much negative camber is exhibited).
you have to decide what your final goal is w/the car and how much you're willing to spend before taking the next step. just be aware of the implications of each decision (spring swap only; ride might suck after a while. Coilovers; might be too expensive if you're going for looks/comfort.)
hope i haven't confused you w/my 2 cents.
Cheers,
Feras

I am very concered about the condition of the suspension, i was worried it would sink in, i did some research by word of mouth and ur right, and i have even seen it ona g35 wit tein springs he had to get a camber kit, i dont wanna go his route, i bought the BBS cause they were the best, and since i get wholesale and they are SUPPOST to go with my the 350z and others, and i want the suspension to look low do i need to give it time?, but ride smooth, do u know what i mean? i dont want any problems in the future, but i havent heard anything bad about tanabe gf-210 or H & R Sport springs, im just lookin at H & R becuse they are well known, since i spent a few grand on the BBS i should save for something to compliment them with coilover NO or YES? point a fellow Zer in the right direction and turbo is in my future BTW.

if i were you, i'd lower the car and drive around for a month or two before getting a camber kit to see how sunk in the wheels go (if at all).
as for how to lower it, if you swap springs only, then your shocks might not be able to handle it the new spring rate/length after a while. you might be better off getting coilovers from the start (coilovers will provide you with shock rebound adjustment, ride height adjustment and possible spring rate/length selection depending on which setup you decide to get).

if you lower the car on wheels w/those offsets, you will probably need camber adjustable control arms front/rear to avoid having a "sunk" look imo. let me know how it goes and good luck,
Feras
Very very nice wheels, BUT I have not heard of Tein springs sinking. They are guarenteed not to. I installed mine, drove it for a week then got a 4-wheel alignment. No problems at all for 10K miles. I did have the tires rotated, but then again I don't have a camber kit and the Z being a sports car with a more agressive stants and the fact that I did lower the car you are always going to have a tad bit of wear on the inside part of the tire. I have Nitto NT555 tires and they still look brand new, oh and they have been from to Ohio to Florida and back.... Then again I don't drive like amoron and do crazy burnouts either.

i dont want to hurt the car.
BTW they are H&R sport spring 1.5 drop Front and Rear

No problem

it won't hurt the car, it just might make the shocks wear out faster.
i mentioned a camber kit because of the increased gap you'll have from the outside of the tire and the fender (that's what i meant by sunk, as in the wheels will sink into the fender).
adjustable camber arms will not help with shock wear and tear, selecting a spring rate closer to stock will probably help. however, when you get a shorter spring, i think you have to calculate the what the correct rate to match the shock will be...and i don't know how to do that

all this is probably overkill though, jsut get shorter springs and when your shocks wear out, replace them...probably not that expensive and i think it'll take a while for them to wear out.
Good luck!
