I see you went with the yoshi pipes. I decided to go with the akra myself. I love my bike. Mine is in storage now as well. Can not wait to get it back out. Question..my foot peg is broken on the right side. Where did you get the gold ones? I like that...

your foot peg aka rear sets are broken, buy a new set, mines are Sato Racing rear sets, in gold. they have polish and silver as well.

10r
To be honest, wasn't really all that happy with the 10r... But, I got rid of her b/c a co-worker of mine backed his car into an engine stand which then flipped over onto my bike bending the frame(totalled). Insurance didn't give me much for it, so I picked up a used 6r(had 60 miles on it) for a REALLY good deal...The 6r had a great build, and gave me faith in kawasaki again. The color scheme wasn't doing it for me, and the lack of power(compared to the 10r, 12r I most recently had) made me switch back to something that I enjoy riding more. I sold the 6r for a profit, and when the 10r was off my credit history I financed a 06 ZX14.
I bought the 14 in red b/c the black 10 was a pain to keep clean.

i thought about powder coating them but then I decided to get the z and all my money is going toward the mod bug for the Z. Plus the bike is in storage now. Although now would be a good time I suppose...

I think painting the 10r wheels cost me $12 in paint, and a couple hours in labor. Powdercoating would be a better solution, but when I did it I wasn't sure if I would keep them that color. Although, I would deff. do it again! Black bikes with gold wheels are so nice.
14 is deff. not a good first bike, but in stock for it is a lot more forgiving than the 10r. 6r was a great all around bike, and if I had the money for a second bike I would deff. purchase on for track purposes.
Luckily we have a year round riding season in Houston... The mod bug for the Z hit me hard as well(luckily not for long), but have realized I will never be as fast as I am on the bike...
