Finally Rick gets a cage. If done right, you can actually drop a lot of weight. Thats what we are doing with my car. We are cutting out the factory rear strut brace and the entire area where the speakers and glove boxes go and reinforcing it with the cage. Take out 40 lbs of sheetmetal and replace it with 4 lbs of bar . Should come out at least the same as it went in.
That's definitely the way to go. When I get a cage, that's how I intend to do mine.
Your car is an amazing piece of work... but do you mind if I ask why you completely gutted the interior?? Is this now just a track car ?? Seems like your bodykit and outside appearance point to otherwise. Just curious what the Z is being used for now and what direction you plan on taking it. None the less, it always has the best of parts

he's always tracked his car before. the type N is basically his show kit (because it is the only one in US and im sure JP wouldnt want to see that in pieces hehe) . he has a full c west kit that he uses for track and another set of wheels he uses for track. check out his track vids.
Update...the dash is pretty much removed as I was able to wiggle the sucker around no problem haha. The removal of the rear portion of the interior and roll bar will be removed by this week.
And of course this car had a bit more work done on it:
