Thats true, if you wanted a track car this would be a great choice.

Looks great Rick, but honestly it's scary to see your z like that. It looks like it got jacked and stripped.

Are you going to powdercoat the cage a specific color?

LOL.

Well I can't powdercoat it because I don't plan to send my entire car through an "oven" hehe. I'm not sure what scheme I am going with yet, but i'm sure it will change a few times over the next year as I probably can't afford what I really want to do right now. I might just let the builder do whatever he wants with it as far as color since he is the "wild off the wall type" and let him have fun with it until I can save up for the type of paintwork I specifically want.

That's cool man. I'm glad you finally got it in. Yeah, we'll roll out to the track together in the near future. One obstacle at a time

Thanks Quan. Yeah the guys at LCON are cool as hell. I knew him from way back and to see how much he progressed with his skills is just breath taking and I am really proud of him. I don't even have to make visits to check on the car because he always sends me progress pics to my cell phone

Yeah for sure man. Although I haven't been in a while so I have a lot to learn with much needed seat time.

Just a suggestion for the bar connecting the rear strut towers, adding some triangulated bracing on the bottom would do wonders for torsional flexing at the towers. I included a quick paint rendering to show what I meant. They might have already had something planned, just a suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion, but these bars being run are all preliminary and nothing near to what it is going to be like when finished. If you look at the Super Unlimited Z32 that they are building for Mike Kojima...you can see that these guys don't mess around and will do anything your pocket book desires and do it with great engineering rather than throwing a crappy cage together.
