The Run(s) DVD Rip
sure. I used the divx codec so I'll post to:
alt.binaries.movies.divx
&
alt.binaries.movies
It'll probably take a few hours to propogate out, but should be ready by tomorrow...
If you need the divx codec for windows media player, download this one, it's the best. http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Codecs/DivX505Bundle.exe

ok, for those who aren't newsgroup savy you can download it here: (I'd suggest right clicking and do save as since it's a big file 120 meg)
http://cyberpnk.virtualave.net/Nissan_350Z_The_Run.avi
make sure you have the divx codec first!!!
http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Codecs/DivX505Bundle.exe
It will only be there for a few days and I've got a download quota, so if you've seen the dvd don't download the avi. It's nothing new.

Oufff,
I'm surprised. I figured with a closed circuit that they would have been more commited to corners, the route and stunt traffic/bystandards. The trailer was great in hyping it up cause the actual run is no where near as exciting. Beleive me when I say I know he was going really fast, my racing has been on camera before and it does look dog slow even though you're pushing 140mph on the straights but still.
At first on the long straightaway I thought he hit fuel cutoff but then I realize the was just staying off of it. Does anyone know if they had a max speed they couldn't pass during filming, maybe so the camera car could keep up or something. Because watching the old Rendezvous 60's french illegal run through Paris if he wasn't on the gas he was on the brakes and that was public streets with real traffic. I figured since this was all staged they would have really laid into her.
Does anyone have the front mount camera or in car for the full run? It might make more sence if you can see the pavement change and narrowness of the streets to give a better sence of speed because the constant camera change of the commercial really takes away any sence of speed and excitement.

ok boys and girls, the show is over...
I've exceeded my bandwith and disk usage for this month so now it's costing me about $1 / download.
I hope enough people have it now that everyone can share (P2P).
Also, it's still in the newsgroups.
Maybe next month I'll put it back up, if I remember.
Hope you enjoyed it.
