new style blacked out 03 headlights (i havent seen it done)

Default new style blacked out 03 headlights (i havent seen it done)

what i havent seen before is that i painted the silver metal piece the projector lens is in......pics...

and i painted the reflectors but left three small squares in front of where the bulb goes, hoping to duplicate the led look of the 07's

i admitted im trying to fake the led look i dont think theres anything wrong with that tho lol

as for pics, wont happen for a lil while....my current car status is.............(btw its SB)


im doing the body work on it one monday at a time (last week and this week didnt do any) right now i need to order a front bumper i like, finish the dings, shave emblems(maybe), and im probably going to paint the door handles black or gunmetal then repaint

you do know you are going to lose a lot of light output right? It's going to look very dim.

where? only the bottom of the high beam reflector is changed

no, but i see no reason for output to decrease on low beam side, maybe your thinking some reflector is black that isnt??
besides output wasnt that great for hid's off these headlights to begin with, so im putting in fresh bulbs.

I did these to my old lights. The thing is this headlight isn't a true HID projector. I agree that headlights isn't good to begin with, but when looking at the headlight from the outside, it looks really dim compared to stock. I wasn't talking about from inside out. Sorry for the confusion. You'll see what i'm talking about when you install it.

This is also the reason why i upgraded to the 06+ projectors. You can't paint the whole inside black and output will be the same.

I give you props for trying to be original, but considering how much work your doing on your car you should just get the 06' lights and paint them OEM black, I think it will give it a higher end look then trying to pain the 03 ones..

this saves tons of money... i still need to buy the bumper and i might get a ings +1 spoiler or somethin ive got alot of things id rather spend it on
