New shots of my new 04.5 350Z 6MT (HDR)
I am in no way a professional photographer, but comments and constructive criticism always welcome. This is also my first attempt at 'HDR'.
Tein S.Techs soon
I used Photomatix, Canon, and CS3.

i HATE hdr crap.........it's a fad. some will say it's the digital equivalent to Chromacolor films and such, but it isn't. actual skill was needed for darkroom development, hdr is all about a program.
/rant
i think the pics would look awesome minus the hdr. i love the car. can you post a few non-molested pics of it?
jim
edit - please don't take my comments personal, i just dislike hdr. i think the pics would look good without it! what rig are you using?

I have the original shots on the camera, will post them up one day as well.
Rig - for software processing
Intel QCore Q6600 @ 3.0GHz (oc'd)
eVGA 8800 Ultra @ 2.3Ghz (oc'd)
4.0Gb Crucial Ballistix PC2 8800
Acer AL2223W HD widescreen (22")
Rig - for picture taking
Photoshop CS3
Photomatix PRO
Canon PowerShot AiAF A610 (lol)
Professional tripod (the only thing that is professional)
My next big purchase might be a Canon Rebel XTi.

I agree about HDR, I think in most cases it simply takes away from the picture--and it's seldom used correctly anyway. You took some beautiful shots OP, personally I think they would have been better with a few simple tweaks instead. If you have the non-molested pictures as illjim put it, I wouldn't mind playing with one.
The top image looks really nice, where did you take these? BTW, at first glance I thought the watermark said "poopyfinger"

Anyway, these shots were taken in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Kamloops has a population of 82,000 within the city, but close to 250,000 with it's surrounding areas. It's close to Vancouver BC, and is the tournament capital of Canada.
Here are the unmolested versions:

See I think those unmolested shots look WAY better. They let the subject matter be the means of attraction, not a gimmick...this is all my personal opinion of course. But personally, I would rather take a photo like you just posted:
Spend 5 minutes in Photoshop cleaning it up and popping the color a bit so it doesn't look like a random snapshot, and get this:
I would probably slightly desaturate the background too, but I didn't feel like spending the time to create a path
But like I said, that's just me. Beautiful pics regardless man!

So, in photoshop you would just desaturate the background?
Without going into great depth, quickly tell me how this can be done without touching car. I know layers etc.

well in that pic I just played with the colors slightly (and cleaned up those nasty reflections in your front bumper).
original:
to this:
I think the back ground is way too blue though, so I would just slightly desaturate the blues; something like this:
Actually I probably did it a little too much, but you get the point.
I just created a path along the road and around the car, basically selecting the background and placing it on a new layer. Then I turned down the blue saturation slightly and played with the brightness, and voila.

Actually, the blue background and everything looked blue that day as the government is burning a lot of the pine beetle-infested trees.
Looks better man, thanks.

As far as the pics, the tone mapping and saturation are a bit strong even for my taste. In all, the car looks great. I like that background with all the graffiti. I wish we had a spot like that around here.

Thanks for the comment Taurran - almighty HDR king
I think I need to tweak my Photomatix Pro settings. Remember people this was my first attempt with EVERYTHING!
Think of me like a white belt photographer

But yeah, one thing I noticed is that on different types of monitors, saturation levels will look quite different. I'm looking at your pics now on my laptop which has lower saturation, and they look a lot better. I ran into the same issue on mine. I think if you bumped the saturation down a notch or two they'd look much much better.
But yeah, keep up the good work. You're going to convince me to get out and snap some new pics!

If you're having issues with color accuracy, may I suggest the Pantone Huey. It'll calibrate your monitor to a set standard. Not too pricey, about $120 I think is what I paid for the Pro version, and I think it's $70 for the regular.
