Default A few city shots at night with the Z.

If any of you happen to notice that my sig changes almost weekly, you know I'm into photography and that the Z can/does look good in many a background. So with that said, here are two shots from downtown Kansas City (click small images for high-res):

Damn, those are great shots. I'd love to get into photography, i just never have. I even work at a photo lab (www.groupphotographers.com i'm the IT manager here)!

What camera are you using and what settings did you chose? I think the hardest part for me is knowing what fstop to use and what not. That and i need to get a nice digital camera so i can practice and not worry about wasting film.

Anyways, great shots man, very sweet. Thanks for posting them.

Thanks, man (and everyone else, too). I wasn't really into it either, until I got this new camera (Canon S400). At first, I had a Sony DSC-P71 and just found myself unsatisfied with the graininess of most of the shots, so I began losing interest.

I set the ISO to 50 and left the lens open for 2 seconds on the first one and 5 seconds on the second one, I believe.

Wow! thats what an S400 can do?!?! I figured you where using a D60 or a Nikon D1x or something. Amazing! I've been shopping around for a camera I can just throw in the car and take everywhere with me, but still be able to do nice hi-res photos. I had sort of decided on the S400, but now im sure that is the camera i need. Very impressive. Another one i was looking at was that G5, but in the end, i just need a camera i can take with me everywhere. If i ever want to get creative i can always borrow one of the D1's here at work. Wow, i need that camera!

Have any shots that you've taken with yours yet? Always interested in seeing what others can do with their cameras.

Yep, that's correct. And the camera you linked to is better than mine. The S400 is only a 4 megapixel camera, where the Sony you linked to is 5 megapixels. It produces pictures in a higher resolution than mine, and costs about $50 less than what I paid for mine a few months ago. Looks like a pretty good deal to me.

I just found this site the other day. They have some reviews and what not about different digital cameras out there. Some pretty good information too. Check them out: http://www.dpreview.com/
