But Brian...I thought that Mackin was a one man operation? I thought Eddie and Steve were just there to be circus clowns. So you're telling me that you guys don't steal other peoples designs to **** others in the industry off to receive hate mail as well? Bad things come around back to people that do bad things. It's a lesson in life that everyone's momma should have taught them.

All I had was a picture earlier. I did not intend to leave out the story as it was just available now. Here's the story of apparently what happened from the owner himself:

hydroplaned into the median and grinded off the pass side of my back bumper, now has holes in it lol. heavy traffic and i didnt wanna hit another car and didnt wanna scrape up the whole side of the car so flicked the wheel to the right (note im sliding backwards facing traffic) and slammed into a drainage thing popped up maybe a few inches in the air and slammed hard on the ground. had a section of the freeway closed off for me so i can limp the car off the freeway and when i went to got put a spare on the outside rim fell off leaving the center still attached to the car. We and my gf came out with no cuts, scrapes, bruises just shakened up. All of this happened at around 60-70MPH

I am keeping the wheel. Gonna hang it up as a reminder to always use good weather and driving judgement and always buy good *** tires.

there is NO REASON a wheel should look like that. Period.

I was dicking around when I first got my Z, and when I did a 180 degree burnout, I slammed my rear wheel into a curb, and bent my axle completely...while my Volk GTC's lip was slightly bent...

I have no reason to bash Rota's, as I've never used them. But serioulsy...there is NO REASON a wheel (any wheel) should look like that. Period.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!.....go visit a junk yard one day.......i have seen TONS of damaged wheels like this from badly damaged cars...........I have even seen name brand after market wheels, like he said...oem, after market doest matter....

The circumstances of a car accident - at speed, not at speed, hitting a metal drainage, hitting a curb, bouncing off the barrier wall then hitting the median and stopping on the opposite side of the hwy...C-mon... whatever the story, any accident can do that damage if hit right........

Everyone that thinks a wheel shouldn't look like that after an accident are straight up redonkulous....It can happen to any wheel.........any brand, accidents are bad..........damage to vehicles and their beloved wheels are the least of my worries.........i just hope everyone makes it out okay.

It was Dan that called out Brian/Mackin in the first place with the IP list.

And Brian handles business very well. check out the So Cal forum for his list of parts/mods he's sold.

i think all those expletives volk350z used got him banned

he shoulda just kept calm

oh yeah, i own rotas. I would buy them again

its not the lightest wheel, and it is unfortunate that their design are copies of authentic wheels

but for my purposes, the wheels serve me very well. Just regular everyday driving

This stuff makes no sense.... Who really cares? I mean the guy whose wheels they were just feels lucky that he kept it together in a crazy situation, and yet everyone in here is Obsessed with it...
