I put more miles on the bike in one day than the Z in all of the last three months.
Pretty dirty right now but like the post is title, "as it sits now". Laff....
We need a "thumbs down" button on here. Being facetious.
Every Saturday for the past three months, good friend and his band put on a two hour "socially distanced" concert giving the neighborhood and all the friends/neighbors a grand time away from the SIP madness. Happened to bring the Z cuz it was the most easily accessible car in front of the house. Haha. Its been driven twice or so in the last three months. Still dirty but at least I sprayed off 1/2" of dust/grime on Friday!
And yes, that's my ohana there in the "front row". All negative and still being responsible with masks and face shields within reach at any time. Just wish some of the neighbors were a little smarter.
Then today, in the "cars I used to own" department....
...our friend parked at our place so she and my wife could do their 9 mile walk to breakfast in The Cats. I'da gone but today was a ride day for me.
Hence, one of my other vehicles, my trusty Klein Quantum Pro... 16.5lbs of joy.
My bike is as much - if not more - fun than any of the other vehicles in the household!
New car!!! Got rid of that pesky 350Z and got this hot rod!!
Lookit how fast it looks just sitting still with those fancy directional whills that look like feets truckin'!!
See, at least I kept it in the Neeesahn family!!
OK, not really. My daily's in the body shop after getting rear munged. Ignorant driver on cell phone. Ehhhhhhh.
Good news.... replacement (copy) parts not available. All OEM Mercedes parts must be used including new exhaust pipes and mufflers. And, no sheet metal was touched so no paint match issues (even though my shop is critical of themselves. If it is mismatched, they do it over!) Had much work done through them over the years (no, none my fault, haha!) and have been immensely pleased with their work. (If you're local to me, happy to recommend. No, I don't get kickbacks. Laff. Everyone I've recommended to them has been equally pleased with their work!)
I find it interesting that my lifelong affinity for many things Nissan, carries over into my cycling choices...
No, I didn't support Lance (especially after the doping scandal) but I did support the once great Livestrong organization in their fight against cancer; so what the hey, I'll fly the retro colors. Why not, I support(ed) the old Discovery Channel team as well.
My poor car has been sitting outside in the gloom of smoke, ash and the usual detritus. Uggggh. No point washing it right now until I get my garage back. (Have one of the cars for sale that's sitting inside right now.)
But yer cars are lookin' good! Some inspiration for me to get out and wash....
