ok, I'll bite.

I've had mine for a while & I've had trouble getting used to it. The low light conditions, the way the sun hits it.. it's pretty cool, but those things & then the sound Sucks... I made a foam wrap that goes around the suction cup housing, but it still sucks.

I need to look into a cat tail, or whatever they're called to divert the wind noise.

I make video's of our cruises & stuff here in Houston as a hobby. here's the 1st video I did with the gopro.

I use Corel Video studio to edit the stuff. it's pretty easy to get used to for video editing.

I got mine off of Amazon. I signed up for the Amazon Credit card to get an extra 50 bucks off when they had their promotion going on(you can just cancel the card after if you want), so it ended up @ around $240 Shipped.

Really like those paintball scenes. Try mounting the go pro inside on the rear window or strut bar

yeah for next video im gonna mount it on trunk window facing front to see how its like, should be pretty good

it just really sucks that this camera is so bad in low light, if it would work in lowlight as good as any other cheaper cameras, this would be the camera to have for any video shooting.

Do they let you return opened items for things like cameras?

BTW, I keep reading that the sound quality is bad with these GoPros. What exactly makes them bad?

yea they do lol, which is in away good and bad, some times you may find a used item in a new package but upside is you can always return and get another one.

what makes them bad is that the microphone is in enclosed case, so it picks up all vibrations and the lowest possible sounds, you may say thats good but its bad considering the actual voice and things liek that turn on pretty crappy.
But then again in different scenarios with different case lid, different sounds and different qualities.

best way to know what im talking about is to get it and try it out lol which is essentially what im doing right now

^ Yeah, if their return policy isn't too strict, I may give it a try in person before pulling the trigger.

my wife just bought me a go pro for my b day. takes great video and pics, but the sound is so much garbage. i tried every different set up there was and nothing worked. i read that alot of people get a separate audio recorder and sync it to the go pro.

Is there an alternative to the GoPro then? Something that can film at high resolutions and frame rates without the poor sound quality.
