Hey, decided to back out at last minute. It's 4:55 PM here and 70 degrees, clear sky. Was packed and ready to go. Came in and checked the weather. 34 is a bit to chili for me, and no one to come with me.

Hopefully another time, Sorry - Peace, and race safely guys.

Well, we had a bunch of really good times tonight. It was about 45ish outside and a few of the Z's were in the mid-high 13's. I'll let them post up when they get on. I didn't run but watching was actually kinda fun. Ari from rx7.com brought his car out and made a couple passes, yanked the wheels in 2nd gear on the 2nd pass...that was really cool to see. Anywho, fun night...glad i went.

Good job wheel stealer!!!!!! :-) I accomplished my goal of sub 15. I got a 14.5

 

Thanks to all those guys that came out today to the track. I sure had a lot of fun. This was the first time ever that I ever had my car gutted like that (maybe I'll post pics for those who didn't see it). The sad thing is, while all that stripping away of the plastic pieces out did help me out, it was definitely not as much as I anticipated.

My best time on street tires out of the 4 that I ran was a measly 13.586 @ 104.12 with a weak 60' of 2.104. That's just .002 seconds shy of my best street tires time (13.584 @ 104.78 with 2.074). I was so close to beating my best street time.

I was on slicks for the last 4 runs. I was actually hoping to get a 13.1 tonight (13.3 was just a conservative number), but that didn't happen due to the sleet/rain that fell on the track surface as I was about to run. Anyway, my best slick and new personal best time is 13.212 @ 104.75 with 1.896.

Travis and Brian, be sure to post your time slips up on the top 25 thread, as you both should make it back on the list.

Vic, you should move up a rank too, so if you want that, post your time slip as well.

All others - Just a little bit more practice you guys should do as well, if not better. Practice is what improves you, not what others say. Trust me.

I hope to see you guys and more at the next one. I'll probably start a new thread on it.

That's cool man. I'm just giving you a hard time. I think most, if not all, racers had a great time. I'm sure Travis had a blast, as he got a freakin 13.6! Brian, too, beat his previous best. The others were there for the first time, so they were getting used to things and learning. I got so close to beating my time (off by .002), but I know 13.4 was possible on streets.

Travis and I are on non talking terms...bastard stole my time slip and I couldnt beat him the entire night! I set my personal best though...13.763 with a 60' of 2.0 (on dr's though ) I had a lot of fun...no one was at the track so we got to make as many passes as we liked.
