Eric, one of the owners, just emailed me tonight. He informed me that we are the first club to do a group tour at the track. I was pleasantly suprised since I would have thought the BMW or Porsche clubs would have done it by now. Well, we're going to make history at the track tomorrow so let's have fun but keep it safe!

looks like I'm gonna sit this one out BUT I really really really hope that us Austin/SA guys can start doing regular meets and get-togethers like this! I'm totally down for that.

I'm new to Z's and I am coming from nasioc (I had a wrx), and all the Austin guys would get together weekly for dinners/happy hours, and we would have shop days, drives, bbq's, all sorts of fun stuff. Since there seems to be a lot of Z's around this area, then let's get it going! I, for one, love meeting new people and making new friends, and just learning about Z's (and whatever else) in general. Maybe some of you already know each other and get together on a regular basis, but I haven't noticed much posted in here. Anyways, that's my 2 cents, ya'll have fun tomorrow, I look forward to seeing all the pics!! =)

Great meet guys! We had an awesome turnout and we really need to do this again sometime soon. Those of you who didn't go to the H2R track afterwards really missed out! We all had a blast. Can't wait for pics.

Ian's right, if you didn't go to the track after the meet, you guys really missed out. I'm not sure how many laps we did but it was enough to get your adrenaline going for a few days. I think everyone were in their cars during the laps so I'm not sure if we had someone taking pictures while we were doing the laps. I'll post some pics later when we were lined up before the laps.

Phil, thanks for arranging the meet. We had 30+ cars show up. It was my 1st meet with the Z so I'm sure she was happy to see a few others (and her cousins, the G35s) on the stable. Heck, we even had some strays show up -- RX7, Viper & a Supra.

 

z-u-later you lapped me driving the turbo mini man you can drive. It was alot of fun sorry for slowing you down ha.

 

Not problemo dude. I had a blast. The track was the best part. Let's do this again soon.

 

Hah, yeah well his suspension and being that low doesn't hurt either. Really cool of that guy to let you borrow the mini!

 

I was thinking the same thing. He didn't even know me and just threw me the keys like he has known me forever or something lol. Can't believe he just let me rag his car on the track well i took good care of it.

 

Hey, don't be sorry, we were all out there just having fun! Actually, I appreciate you slowing down the two Porsches behind you . . . now I can say I lapped a couple of Porsches! Actually, I had to move fast since I had Russ (NISMO) and Blaine (JDM RX7) on my tail the entire time! It's all good . . .

lol how do you think i felt i had 2 porsches on my *** the whole time with over 400rwhp and my *** is sunday driving compared to them. They would let me get a good lead and then punch it and catch up in two seconds it was pretty humorous and i was really trying ha.
