zrated races with the mb weapons? why not with the rpf1's they weigh about 18lbs a piece I believe.

 

He has two set ups....

the morning 4 runs he ran the MB weapons with Direzza tires....

The afternoon 4 runs he ran RPF1's with full Rcomps...

you should ask Gibbs why he doesnt run his RPF1's.....

The MBs are maybe 19lbs each on 17s... and they are JDM YO!!

 

Those tires have seen heavy track use and/or burnouts. And FYI it's Infiniti not Infinity.

 

No burnouts on these tires wheels or ever in my Z. Only track time was a time trials with PCA at MSR which was only 6 laps on the 1.7 mile track. Rest of time on the tires/rims has been daily driven and AutoX/Time trials at Mineral wells, TMS bus lot, or Pennington field or Lone star park. I purchased these tires new so I know what I have done to them, I don't know why you said that. Yes they are worn down due to the events and I did not have any negative camber in front (all stock). They were not daily driven that much, only a few days a week if I had an event each weekend and did not want to switch the tires. Otherwise I switched back to my stock rims and tires for most of my daily driving. Never drifted in the tires, would not even know how to do that. The last miles on these tires were 18 laps of a time trial at Mineral Wells on Saturday and then I drove them home and took them off.

But yes its Infiniti, my bad there.

 

If you do then go wider in front, unless you like understeer. I like the square setup as it took out some of the understeer in stock form. If you have suspension mods then you may have already taken care of that with camber.
