/\ /\ That was a very nice run, a couple of us were comenting on how fast you were, great job to you sir.
John: I was thinking about your setup on my 1 1/2 hour drive home I think you might need some higher spring rates cause even in the pictures you can see the spring compress way to much and to quickly. I am sure you could get some higher compression springs for your coil overs and get Jake to help with the install and she would be like a different car, maybe some sways while your at it.

762,
We liked watching you tear around turn 1 especially....what tires were you running ? I thought I saw some Hankooks, but were they R compounds ?
I have a friend with a 2010 GTI and keep telling him to get his *** out there for some real fun driving.
You definitely tore it up last sunday !
---
Nexx, that RX-8 driver was very good also.

The rx8, silver m3, and the vettes in class z were all on r comps. Other than that the top times in x and y are all street tires and Mike, Thomas, and I are all on RS3s.
I would really recommend people come out the time trials. You get so much more seat time, and it's laid back so everyone just helps everyone out. I have only been doing this for about a year and a half, and the time trials are the reason I have improved so much in such a short time.

A guy named Daniel (drove the older orange bmw) rode with me in the morning and taught me some good stuff --and saved me from a few dnf's . I started with a 73.397 and chipped away until my last run at 59.326. I'm pretty proud of my newb self
I'm 90% sure I will be at the GP event in 2 weeks too. I'm pretty much hooked already.

I am on hankook rs3s, they are hankooks autocross street tire. So they are 140 plus treadwear and are similar to Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, bridgestone re11s, and Yokohama AD08s.

762,
Hmmm, I don't think they make those tires in my size yet....I saw 18's as the largest.
as for the time trials...well no body in here has mentioned that you are allowed to come and do that. I was thinking that it is for the BMW chapter people only.
So does it cost extra money to do it and when do they do them....the friday before the event date ?
I'll see what their site says about it.

Texas time trials are open to any make or model. The website is www.texastimetrials.com there is an event this coming weekend. It is not really just an autocross as you do laps on a coned road course. In fact our record for most laps in a day was set at the last event at 75 laps.

Not sure if I can make it out to Lone Star Park yet but we shall see
Time trials sounds a lot better than a typical autox I'm definitely dying for more seat time lol. I think I worked a corner with you 762? Afternoon runs corner 3?

We have a time trial on October 30th and November 20th. Spots are limited to ensure drivers get lots of seat time so make sure you register early.
Registration is done at www.clubregistration.net just look for the club texas time trials and the events should pull up.
if you want full session instruction (ie 3-4 hours of private 1 on 1 instruction) the rate is normally $20. If you want people to just more casually hop in and help out etc just ask like at any other event and there is no charge. The fee is only for the dedicated instructor to be at the session he would not normally have to be at.

"The Speed" did great and held her own against some nice cars I would say, but I would love to throw the G around the course I want to try out how the car feels and responds with the Quafe LSD installed.

That was a clean run for sure that guy was so constitant he ran 3 runs in a row with in about a 1/2 second difference between each of them you watch that run he is so smooth and controled he doesn't even look like he is pushing the car very hard. So we going to get a sign up sheet going for the next Auto X if so I am there. I just can't get enough!!!!
