Default Thoughts on the mid-A forum

Hey guys,
I'm very much a believer that this is a "peoples forum", so I want to ask you for your input about a few things.

1. Do you want to allow local "For Sale" posts here in the mid-A, or should these be moved to the classifieds? As a sub-question of sorts (because I've done this for almost everyone who is selling) should we allow "car for sale" posts here, but move "parts for sale" posts to the classifieds?

2. Are there any particular topics you'd like to see stickied at the top of the forum?

3. Any general input/requests/complaints about things here? This doesn't necessarily have to be mid-A only. I will happily pass along feedback to the admins/site-moderators if you'd like.

I think it would only be fare to give local guys a chance to buy parts and give the selling the chance to sell local to avoid shipping

Also maybe a general BS sub forum so post about the weather dosent get lost in the mix.

By the way what did you pay for your bodykit painting? I am really thinking about being the first DB vizage kit.

I'm in agreement with Pumped...Personally I think it's more beneficial for everyone to allow local F/S posts. A great example is Johanna1's sale of exhaust and rims. Just my .02.

Besides there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming number of Mid-A posts as is.

I think there should be a sub-forum for upcoming meets and events. There too many stickies and almost all of them are for....upcoming meets and events

It seems to me that the bulk of messages / stickies consist of local sales and event feelers/notices/etc...

maybe two sub-forums:

1. Local Sales (Cars, Parts & Random Junk)
2. Events (Times/Places, Feelers, Shows, Tracktimes, etc...)

That would leave the root of our forum for weather, WHOIS posts, races and other bs

just my .01 Euro (and getting smaller)

good idea kelly...im always on this section of the boards....i love the Z and all and the goodies you can have for them....but most of all i love the people i meet...ive made some really good friends here, and i plan to keap them. I know alot of people are interested in sales and such, i beleive we should keap the local selling here if the user wants to sell it localy...the issue on the cars 4 sale...i have no preference...but it would be nice to have a sub section to get rid of the extra sticky threads...but im sure we would have to talk to godzilla about that...i know we have alot of cars for sale in our area...i have no other preference on topics getting stickied...i like to have the upcoming events stickied but anything else is really up to the person posting it and you...im glad you decided for our input on this before you make any decisions...thanks again kelly your doing a great job here..

Thanks,
Ben Y

Just wanted to let you all know that your requests have been heard. I went to the site admins and requested a sub-forum for "Local Items For sale" and one for "Events". He is going to work on this for us.

Just a note, the "Local Items For Sale" sub-forum would be for private sales only. Businesses will still need to advertise in the vendor marketplace. This forum is being created for members to find or sell used or pre-owned items only. If you're looking for something from a vendor, you shouldn't expect to find it here.

Local FS posts are great, I'd much rather sell something to a local than ebay or something.

I remember trying to ship an exhaust to Texas, it was a royal PITA.

Maybe get some ideas from the other local forums....
