Help with audio install
Anyone want to offer up some help on a system install? I was able to pull the system out of my old car but am noobish about installing it into the Z. I am trying to install dvd/cd headunit with sep brain, interanal and sub amp and replace factory speakers. I have all of the wiring, power wires, rca's, wiring harness, dash kit but not all of the tools or garage. I can offer up some cash, beer, food...
Any help or installer leads would be greatly appreciated.

you CAN use an aftermarket head and maintain the bose amp powering the speakers. You dont need an adpter. You must have a wire mixed up or not connected on your harness...I would first check the "amp remote" wire...This sends a signal to the bose amp and tells it to turn on when the head unit is powered on .
yeah ironicly i figured that out just after posting but thanks alot for the input its working fine now and 2mm i'm gonna buy 4 new speakers cause with all the high and mid power it feels like the bose are on the verge of exploding, do u know if that is the speakers' fault or the amp's?
thanks
thanks
Both...the problem is that the bose tries to replicate too much low end base...Sounds good at lower volumes but turns to crap fast when turned up...Changing the speakers is one of the best things you can do now. You just have to make pods for the front because of the depth problem,. Ive made about 10 sets now, its not TOO bad.
