Default Why does this happen?

After work, late at night, I drive home after a hard days work. I drive past a parking lot where there are some guys checking out their cars and so forth. No biggie, I just drive past them and head on home. When I park in my driveway, it always seems that one of those cars follows me. I thought I was just being paranoid but they always past my house, then make a U turn at the cul de sac and drive past my house a second time. The slow down when they pass my house. WTH. So far it has been an M3, a Neon SRT and a black g35, all doing the same exact thing. Why? Goodness. Just want some sleep. Any explanation would be helpful

They are either following you simply hoping to get in a good run, or they're casing your house. If they're casing your house, take some precautions before its too late.

yeah dude, i'd be careful with people following you home. If you notice them before you get home dont go straight home, stop by a 7-11 or something. Ive had a couple friends cars broken into after people followed them home.

That is weird... usually people follow me for a little bit... but not all the way to my house.

yeah, sometimes I see people following me home, but i'm pretty paranoid about this stuff normally, so i notice it pretty quick. I usually just end up taking them for a nice drive, lol -- not that they keep up for too long anyways...

since they've already found your house, the best advice would be to make sure you have a security system on the house and on the car (maybe some motion-activated lights with videocameras)... getting a CC license isn't really that hard, either (that'd be the optimal solution unless you have kids)

you could always try talking to the one time. from the cars you listed, it seems that they may just be some car enthusiasts checking out your car. worst comes to worst and they do try to screw with your house or car, at least you know what they look like and you can remember their license plates when you meet them.

i have had a couple cars follow me around...i dont even know why...but i usually just suddenly pull over on a shoulder b/c im pretty paranoid too. i'll make sure to look them down as to let them know i know they are or were following me and once they pass i'll make a turn into my neighborhood...

i'll try my best not to go close to my house though in case they really are out to scope your place. other than that pack some heat!!

+1 They probably just want to check out your car or do a run, but usually people stop following after you get into a heavy residential area. I would take actions on it but nothing to much.
