Well, guys I am definitely looking forward to this. Bert, lets see how I stack up to your professional prowess. I too only have 2 trips to the strip, but I have been lucky enough to get in about 6 runs each time so not too bad.

Yes, the staff will be limited, but it is run like a normal track event in my understanding. I know they will be using the tree and therefore we should get slips and stuff. Not sure if the tower will be staffed though. That might be a bit much to have dial in's for a majority of the drivers here.

As for eliminations. I am sure we can do that towards the end of the day just to get the best in the field to face off. Sounds pretty cool.

wtf_no_turbo: I guess your buddy can bring his car if he wants. Put him on the list.

I might have one or two people that would like to come as well that drive cars other than Zs. If the list doesnt reach the maximum will it be a problem if they come?

 

I would rather run heads up then dialing in...thats too complicated for the many track newbs we have at this event. Brent-I have a good friend that would like to come and run if possible, can I add 1 person (non Z owner) to the racing list?

Quick question... if my wife wants to run, it's another $50 for her? Or is just $50 for the car? It said $50 per person OR car so it was a bit confusing.

 

Alright, now that HIN is over and I have gotten all the detailer off my hands I am free to type again.

My understanding was that it would be charged per car that runs or person that signs the waiver. NOW, when I mentioned to MIR that we had some people that wanted to try out other peoples cars.. IE like friends comparing cars/setups or wives etc, They told me normally that would be another charge, but Jason said since we were a large group he would waive any charges for 'extra' drivers BUT they would still have to fill out the waiver forms.

Now as for multiple cars for 1 driver, you would have to pay for each car you drive on the race track.

Does all of this make sense? If not let me know. You could always call MIR, ask for Jason and tell them you are with the group reserved for May 26th.


Alright, as for friends with non Z/G cars. I would like to give all the Mid-A guys a chance first to get their cars on the track first. But I also like the idea of getting some comparison runs against other cars. SO, lets give it until the start of the second week of May, (2 more weeks) if there are still spaces left, we can start bringing in other vehicles... Of course, lets keep the minivans, range rovers and other various people movers out of this.

Bert, if you are already racing and the other car was racing there would be no charge. So for our purposes, I can run any other car on the list, and they could drive any car on the list also.

The main question is, if someone does not have their own car, can they race someone else’s. Jason said he would waive the fee in our case because of the size of the group (hopefully he remembers come May26th)
But I do not want to take too much advantage of this either and have 20 cars racing and 50 friends waiting to try our cars out.

Oh I misunderstood, either way I woulda been fine I cant wait. Just installed another goodie yesterday Ill have a hp or two more for you come the track day.
