Default Off to the track!

Well I'm off to Summit Point [http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/] for Friday at the Track (FATT)! Anyone else going today? This is my first trip to the track and I can't wait to see what happens!! I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures when I get home... wish me luck.

nice day to go today.. very purdy day! I dunno about the times thing, usually instructors discourage any timing going on for a FATT day, unless you are signed off

Hey guys, thanks for the encouragement! The track was fantastic and the event could not have been more fun. There were almost 60 cars there, but each car was still able to get about 2 hours total of race time. I put 70 miles of hot laps on the car and burned through almost 11 gallons of gas! A few pics...

- You can see in the 3rd pic that I'm behind the blue Z06... and in the last pic I'm ahead of him. Only took me 2 laps to pass him

Thanks for the photos. FATT is a winner. You drove on the new Shenandoah circuit. Not as fast as the older Summit Point circuit, but way more technical. The karousel is a heart stopper. LOL

I just got back from the Jefferson Circuit for my first ever track day, and mannnnn what a good time. What a mental workout! My instructor is top notch and is teaching me so much. He's retired, so he tracks his car 10 days a month! I got to ride in his car in the instructor run group, and man those guys play hard. I'll be back tomorrow to run the JC clockwise, than back Monday to run the Summit Point Circuit. Woohoo!

Oh yeah, I went through 3/4 tank of gas .

BTW the Summit Point circuit will blow you away (but I guess that you will be ready by Monday). Are you driving as a member of a club event? What is the name of the club? Thanks.

The weekend is with the BMW CCA Delaware Valley Chapter. You have to become a member ($40/yr) to run with any BMW CCA chapter.

Man, I better get comfortable with heel-toeing before Monday.
