I saw new 350Z racers start the day with 14.7 seconds. At the end they were running 14.1 seconds. 14.1 seconds is not going to win any trophies, but these guys ran and ran and improved their time by 0.60 seconds in a single day! Everyone left with a big smile on their face.

So while the axle itself might be able to take 1000 foot lbs of torque, your CV joint will implode at a heck of a lot lower level unless we come up with a solution.

Yep... Even the almighty ds rear-end upgrade can't help you if what bolts it all together can't take the pressure... I'm definately hoping that Altered takes the oportunity to fabricate something to address this. If they do, it'll be another first for the z/g crowd, and an instant upgrade to anyone who tracks their car. Can I put dibs on a set now???....

She prolly would've cut a 1.7-1.8 60'.Had a blast on Friday... sucks I broke my ****. Turned out a pretty good best run of 13.3@103 with a 1.9 60'. Could've beat it if my car didn't break on me. Hopefully Mitsu isn't reading this so when I take her in to get checked out I don't have a red flag on warranty work.

The new diff should be a lot stronger then this stock one, so we should try to find a way to strengthen the inner connection as much as possible.
Thanks man.

It's a classic and typical case of "the weakest link" when it comes to modifying a car. I'll see if I can talk to DSS to see if they have any information that they can share with me and hope to create an axle that includes everything you need to withstand the power you are putting down.. so the next thing that should break or wearing down should be the clutch itself.
