Default Who traded in a blue Turbonetics auto car?

just aquired a daytona blue auto turbonetics car. and a black wheel with a small lip with nitto tires, JIC (i believe ) single exhaust, tinted windows, and on the drivers side rear quarter glass it has a decal of what looks like the outline of a sumo wrestler. also has department of defense sticker on the windshield.

anyone fimilure with this car? trying to find out a little about it. it was traded at Hall Nissan. but we aquired it from a wholesaler and i may buy it

that A/C problem is common with the turbonetics kit, easy fix.

I agree about knowing what the history is like.

yea, there are no gauges in the car, no signs of where gauges were installed, no way of knowing if the car has been tuned ect. just kinda scared to pull the trigger not knowing if this was done rite or not.

Im really supprised none of you tidewater area guys are fimilure with the car, but just because it was traded at hall it doesnt mean he was from that area i guess

the wheels on it are 5zigen FNO1R-C wheels if that helps narrow down the car.

under the department of defense sticker on the windshield it has a red sticker that says

comnavred
midlant

anyone?

Could it possibly be a repop. In my day they would not let you get rid of a car without returning the sticker (or the remnants of said sticker).

MIght be worth it to have somebody do a once over. Not knowing if it was tuned or even installed right is a BIG PROBLEM

For sure , do a compression and leak down test on it .

Ive seen a nice 05 roadster with a ATI blower [ no gauges ] that a guy bought used . Motor went the first time he got on it . Pistons had much more damage than you can imagine

had our master tech put the consult to it to read the ecu.

it had heated to 315 degrees 41 cycles ago (probobly about the time the guy traded it)

has a warped head and blown head gasket. we could smell a small coolant smell after it was driven for about 10 minutes.

if the A/C does not work the installer failed to heat wrap the A/C line or pull it away from the downpipe on the TN kit.....
