Default Hate Cabbies!!!

dumbass came right into my lane earlier today. f*cker didn't speak much english and could have cared less.

three things that suck (besides the obvious damage):
1) DC won't file a report unless someone's hurt or the car is inoperable
2) Since, really, there were no witnesses to keep at the scene and there's no report, my only recourse is if he actually admits to running into me. otherwise, I'm not deemed 'at fault' per se with my insurance, but I do have to cover my deductible.
3) Don't think they sell Luff M1s anymore

HATE THEM!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. How much damage was done to the Luff?

imo that would be tow truck drivers!

ot, that sucks! You could claim it as a hit and run couldn't you? That way you're not at fault, $200 or less ded, and your not lying!

it could be buffed out, seems like the yellow paint just needs to be taken off, perhaps re-clear coat the area and im sure it'll look good as new again. Next time have a disposable camera handy! I keep one in the back for instances just like this one

You *may* be able to get away with a good buffing on this one... I'd have to see it in person... really thats the first thing i'd try before taking it to a bodyshop. Did you exchange insurance info?

yeh, I think buffing might be possible. but the fender is bent and there's one part where the paint chipped off. however, i think the rim could be polished out.

we did exchange insurance info. I made my company "aware" of what's going on, but I'm supposed to go by his insurance company's place sometime tomorrow. they seem a bit ghetto though...won't take a record over the phone...I have to go by and fill out forms and whatnot. strange that the guy didn't even hint at assigning liability. he just said come in, fill our the forms, and we'll take pics and get an estimate. maybe they come across this sort of thing a lot, since I bet they insure a bunch of cabbies...called Equitable Liability Insurance Company -- how much more vague can you get!

I would have been going back to my car with one boot on, the other one would still be in his a$$!!!!!!!!

I had this happen to me in NY but my car wasn't hit but the a$$hole came into my lane assuming I would move lucky it was alot of traffic, I got out of my car and said" If you hit my car, I'm f##king you up, I'm not asking for any papers, I'm simply going to f##k you up!!!!!!" I hate those bastards with a passion!!!

Sorry for blowing up but I notice that they don't care if they hit , so i get worked up when I hear the word cabbie!

I can't stand DC cabbies....they don't care at all. They're all about bumper car games, you can always tell how many accidents they've been in. Sorry to hear about your car.

Dulles Airport cabbies drive much better, and are a little more careful it seems.

Sorry to hear about that. DC cabbies not only can't drive but their prices are horrible.
