18" Touring wheels:Lug-centric or hub-centric?? // Trying to put on Toyota Tacoma 2WD
Okay here is my situation. I recently just bought a 1996 Toyota Tacoma off my dad for really cheap and I am going to fix it up to be a sport truck like the S-runner or the new X-runner. I just found out that the Nissan 350z 18" touring wheels will fit on the truck because they have the same bolt pattern 5x114.3. However there is a problem. I put them on and they started wobbling. Found out on the customtacos.com forum that the Nissan 350z 18" touring wheel has a centerbore of 66.06mm while the Toyota Tacoma has a centerbore of 67.06mm, just 1 mm difference!
So my option is to centerbore the Nissan 350z wheel out by 1 mm on all the wheels. Does anyone know a shop in VA who can do this? How much should it be per wheel?
After that is done what is my next step to properly putting these wheels on? I need to know whether or not the Nissan 350z 18" wheel setup is lug-centric or hub-centric. The OEM toyota fitment is hub centric. If it is lug-centric, I was told, that I need acorn style lug nuts to ensure proper attachment and to bore out the wheel by the 1mm. If it is hub-centric then I could bore out the 350z rim out more than 1mm and use a hub-centric ring to attach the wheels.
Please let me know any input asap. My truck is in the shop getting repainted and fixed this weekend and next week I want to try to get these wheels on to get them out of my garage.
Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated.

Well I think its both actually. If you grind out the centers and use acorn style lugs you should be pretty ok as far as vibrations go. On a past car I put on aftermarket wheels without hubcentric rings, the center bore on the wheels was way bigger than the stock. I used acorn style lug nuts to center the wheel, and had no vibrations.

^ This might be the case to centerbore the center out to fit the hub of the Taco and use acorn style lugs. I'll check it out.
Still looking for a place to centerbore them out. Anyone know of a machine shop that can bore something like 67.06 mm?
