Harper's Ferry is north of Winchester, so I think you've got that confused with something else.

If you go south on Skyline Drive, you end up sort of near Charlottesville (actually Staunton). South of Staunton it becomes the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Definitely the mid-part (MP 30 to MP 65 or so) is the best. That's where the most spectacular lookouts are.

 

well... its somewhere near a ferry. and i could of sworn its harper's ferry... but whatever it doesn't matter. the point being i wasn't speaking of the lookouts. you mentioned that you liked to drive rather than take pics so i mentioned that the further you go on skyline the better the drive. i did not mention anything about scenery.

David may be sitting by himself in Manassas for a long, long time. I think everyone bailed in favor of the event in College Park.

 

LOL. I met zdatsun in Manassas. We drove to University of Maryland (Baltimore County campus). No car show there! Then south to U of M - College Park. Great seeing everyone today.

Thanks!! I'm sure there are alot of people here that have never gone to a Z meet before and this is their first meeting all these people who are currently only a name and an avatar. (Myself included) So if we all had our "forum tags" on (For lack of better words) it may ring a bell, and make people feel more at ease to strike up a conversation. Kinda like an ice breaker!
