Default Jiffy Lube Parkville Sucks

I'm pretty pissed off guys. ok so here's my little story. my brother needs to do an oil change for his daily driven 99 camry. i usually do his oil changes but i was kind of busy so i gave him a few bucks to get it done. so i tell him to go to jiffy lube. so everything goes as normal he pulls into jiffy lube they pop the hood, takes off the oil cap. he then goes inside to sit and wait and after about half an hour they come back and say ok its ready to go. so he pays and leaves and drives home. he gets home. the next day i get a call from him, his car just died and will not start and there is smoke coming from the hood. well we get the car towed to a friends shop and they check everything and call me later on and tell me theres no oil in the car. THE IDIOTS AT JIFFY LUBE FORGOT TO PUT OIL IN HIS CAR. so the motor is seized and they replaced it and now the car is nothing close to how smooth the car used to run. so let me ask u guys how can people so be retarded. at jiffy lube they have a person to do each part of the job. how can 1 idiot not remember to put oil into cars which is probably the only job he has. just venting alittle guys. so please guys stay away from jiffy lube. they must not hire the smartest highschool dropouts.

I'd sue.

But shouldn't you have known about Jiffy Lube?
Their rep is ****.
I would of gone to at least merchants, ntb or mr. tire.

Hard to trust anyone with your car these days. I wouldn't let Jiffy Lube change the oil in my lawnmower.

Jiffy Lube does my oil changes. I stand in the bay and watch. I am the only person who gets in the car to start the motor.

If you want something cheap, why not use the local gas station. You can watch what they do too. Sorry about your situation.

Does his car have an oil gauge? I wonder if it looked drooped or still showed that there was pressure or full!

I still prefer the DIY version, takes longer, but well worth the time knowing its done right.

Can't wait to change my oil change tomorrow, . 2.2+ years of ownership (6K miles) and Mobil-1 here we come,

I bought a 5 quart bottle of Mobile -1 and Mobile -1 filter. Took it to my local nissan dealership. $14 labor to change the oil and filter .... and yes I was in the shop watching. They actually charge $80 for the Mobile 1 oil change. I paid $25 for the oil, $10 for the filter, and $14 for the labor ... you do the math

In High School I had a friend that worked at Jiffy Lube (may of been same JL, i went to Parkville HS), he made me swear i would never let JL touch my car after his experience there. Appartantly McDonalds has better employee screening and training. Hell, i think i'd trust McD filling my car up with 5w-30 Fry Oil than letting a 17 year old at JL anywhere near my Drain Plug with one of those pneumatic guns.

Going to Jiffy Lube is just asking for trouble. If you lack the sense to not go there, then I guess you deserve what ever is coming to you.

2 things I will never let someone else do to any of my cars:
-change the oil
-wash it
