i have multiple times, i even taught her stick on it. she showed interest in learning and wanting to be able to drive it which i thought was cool, so why not? she knew to be careful and listen to what i said so everything has been fine each time she's driven it. i just make her keep TCS on and dont let her get on the gas around tight corners or drive in the rain.

It's all about setting expectations:

1. The wife can drive the car whenever she wants.
2. If something happens, I get to spend whatever I want to fix it or replace it.

As long as this is clear up front, no problem I'm lucky and cursed though as my wife HATES driving my car (too loud, clutch is too stiff, shifter is too notchy, etc, etc, etc...). So that means the car is always safe, but it also means I have to lay down the good pipe in order to get new work done to the car... Ok, maybe I'm not as cursed as I originally said

I never let a g/f drive any of my cars. The wifey drove my Z all the time (she claimed it as hers... but we all know who pays the bills)

How would you reply? Now this is being between a rock and a hard place. Apparently, not letting her drive the Z means the Z is more important than she is which according to her is a bad thing in the relationship. And not being no. 1 in the relationship is a potential cause for a break up as well. But, letting her drive might mean thousands of dollars for a burnt clutch or other maintenence. Why do girls have to be so difficult? But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Tell her, you break it, you buy it!

She would have to provce she can handle the stick, first.

That being said, I let an ex drive my Z, and she scraped the bottom on a driveway.

My ex loved to drive my car. By the way, she drives a RSX-S. Pre-WORK and body kit, I let her drive a lot. But post-WORK and body kit, HELL NOOO!

Of course she can. I love our ZR, but these cars are a dime-a-dozen (in most cases), and are not collector's cars. They are still made, and pristine used ones can be had. They are completely replaceable.
