Unhappy My Car at the shop/Shop was broken in to........

Soooo my car has been at the shop now for a week today.

Long story short.

Dropped car off on Thur last week
Decided to change the gears in my car ( 4.08)
Bought a 240sz rear
The rear did not work
Gooey sold me his 4.08 gears
Gave them the gears lastnight
Car was suppose to be done today.

Now for the shop

This past weekend one of the cars sitting out side the garage had its hood, turbo and intercooler pipes stollen. I think ( ok atleast it was a car out side and not inside the shop )

Fast forward to lastnight..

I tried calling the shop all day today ( no answer ) so i stop by after work to see what is going on and excited to pick up my car. I walk in to see the owner and the 2 employees looking very upset. So i ask whats up did you get my car done? And then they drop the bomb on me. ( We got robbed lastnight ) I thought to myself ( f%ck i hope nothing was taken off of my car ) So they told me that both supras and a 240 was stripped of all their turbos and guages. I ask if my car was OK, they said yes. Then i asked to see it.

They took me back and showed me the mess that was left with the other cars. The one supra was wrecked inside. He had costum guages in his dash and the dash was ripped apart to take them. His engine bay was empty along with the other supra. The 240 was missing the computer management and turbo. Plus they had a ton of tools taken. I looked at my car and everything was there ( big sigh of relief there )

My car does look pretty stock from the out side. The Utec is hidden and the wideband is on the passenger floor. I was lucky.

At this point i just want my car back. The tech said he was going to work on my car tonight and it should be done. I just called and No one answered.

OH, and the big kicker. They did not even have a alarm on this place. Who in the hell opens a shop with out a alarm on it??

Im sure i left some stuff out here. What a mess that shop was in OUCH!!!

Felt like venting

WHAT THE FUUUUUCK!!

Yep, atleast my car is ok. The part that sucks is its tore apart and they seem to have no gumption to get it done. I just called and no answer again.

Lets think about this....Some one broke in and ripped two cars off! Hmm they must of knew the cars were in there. they must of knew that were wasnt any alarm or survalence systems.

Who can rip apart two or three cars that fast and have time to load tools.

Someone who works there!

Are you suggestively trying to imply that this could have been a mediated burglary? Some one trying to get the shop in trouble? I hope the shop has filed a police report and knowing this is probably a class 2-3 felony for the amount of the goods... might be a case worthwhile for the detective(s) - If they want to get promoted that is

The shop should have insuracnce, and if not then one would think your policy would cover it... so in the long run the supra owners are going to have brand new stuff...

... although it should not have happened in the first place....

Well its not like stealling rims, taking off turbos and ECU isnt a fast job. You have to have a lot of details worked out before you would even attempt such, unless you already knew them...

I am in IT Security so I am a paroid freak, especially when it comes to my car. i wont leave it at a shop that needs to park it outside.

Its garaged at home and work! I pay to park downtown so that it can be protected.

that's some hardcore #%@. Robberies like that are usually by people who know the shop. Who would risk their necks doing a job like that unless they knew this shop wasn't protected. You should at least get some discount or compensation for all the downtime they are giving you, robbed or not, making a customer wait just isn't cool

You know what, im really starting to believe this.

To rip off i think 5 cars like they did, it had to be atleast 3 people.

Here is another kicker you guys should enjoy. The city police is walking distance from the shop. Maybe 1/4 mile down the road.

The dont start work until around 11am, so it looks like i will have to wait to around then to find anything else out. Thats if they answer their phone.....

I get off work at 4pm

Todd
