The best time to buy or Join especially being a career is now... Things are slower than they have been in previous months/years... however it's a very lucrative market. Keep in mind all of the media compare Real Estate Nationally and apply it locally which doesn't work.... I work with the largest mortgage lender in the US (Wells Fargo) and the largest privately owned Real Estate Company in the US (Long and Foster). Keep in mind Investors don't buy high with the intention to sell low...lol

Sadly this is the case with this line of work.. Ive been in car sales for 6-7 years and its not easy.. i started in used imports and moved through a number of places and have been with a high line dealership for years now.
its much the same (just with a different wrapper) no matter where you work though.. you havent been doing it long enough to make the big money.. in your 3rd year the lease returns and refurals start to really come back to you. for the time being you really have to "hit as many heads" as poss.. thats the nature of the game and its not for everyone.. But its like anything... Big risk equals big reward.. but you gotta work for it.. i love the job.. i work my butt off and every once in a while i lose.. but there are months that i hit it out the park.. you gotta watch how you spend as there are big months and slow ones.. the realistate market you'll find right now will be far far far harder.... and takes even longer to break into succsufully... good luck to you..
