I wouldnt want to do that. Id imagine its fiberglass mixed with some CF, if so Id assume it would fray atthe ends when cut? Try shaping a very little piece and see what happens, good luck Keith.

The dremel is a horrid tool, I threw mine directly in the trash after one use. Weaksauce homeowner tool, you have access to air compressor's I'd assume, use a whizzer wheel and the appropriate disc from your Mac or Snap-on rep.

Slow speeds on the dremmel can lead to the weave fraying, higher speeds prevent that.

+1 Keith just take your time and wear some sort of mask while your doing it b/c the resin is not to to breath in. I'd recommend taking a crayon or marker (although thats harder to remove if you mark it wrong) and marking the areas that need modification as well. Let us know how it goes.

Abrasives.....
Garnet is no good (for wood only), aluminum oxide is OK, silicon carbide is good, diamond is best. And watch the heat buildup, you can burn the resin if you let the piece get too hot.

using a "whizzer wheel" (high speed air cut-off tool) will eliminate high/low setting nonsense as it is a much higher RPM tool, with less torque than a crappy dremel that is designed for nail salons and crafting wooden sculptures. Use painters tape/masking tape to off the area, then stencil the area that you will be cutting onto the tape and cut. This will also help avoid small cracks, chipping, and fraying.

dumb *** honda owner cant read a signature........hes got greddy twins. Hes put enough money into his engine to buy your car outright.
even if a rsx is faster, id rather have my z. Just something about seeing a bunch of 17yr olds pimping their rebadged honda fwd, 4cylinder pos that makes me laugh.
id be so nervous to cut the carbon fiber! Dremels definitely dont produce the smoothest looking cuts.
