i just dont understand at all how he survived..i remember hearing on the news that he mustve came in contact with a wind current of some sort to relieve the velocity or whatever

usually when people fall from high buildings and survived, are the one that landed on some kind of roof underneath, but never heard of this one.. Lucky guy indeed!

 

I remember reading about this guy, 47 stories is insane, I couldnt imagine how that felt just falling knowing you were gonna hit. Nice to read the update.

I heard about this and it looks as if within a year he will fully recover. I dont know how this happened and Im sure it was just not his time. I have walked away from a car accident with out a scratch on me and the car(nissan sentra) was t-boned by a drunk driver going 85mph. It pushed the entire passenger side of my car into the drivers side and part of my engine came through the fire wall and was resting on my leg. I can never explain why I walked away, except that it was just not my time.

 

The guys brother died on impact, they have a video on Yahoo.com that actually shows the scene the day it happend. I believe that the scafold
they were using simply gave way and the guys fell, it's hard to imagine
that they weren't using any safety equiptment. I think I would have croaked
halfway down from a heart attack and die like a lil B!TCH lol

 

There's actually a few stories of people surviving skydiving falls when their parachutes didn't open

This guy has it all on tape and when his reserve didn't open he looked at the camera and said "Oh f*ck! I'm dead, Bye".

This was the first thing that came to mind after I read the OP. I probably would have died of a heart attack on the way down like MasterRacer said.

 

wow if you fall 500 feet and live you are extremely lucky. people die from less of a drop thats crazy.
