^ good idea, forget about everything else and find a GS400. Thats good, wish I thought of that

But seriously, I was just roaming around clublexus.com and found a 99 mint white GS4, that just had the 90k service, with suspension, front lip, wheels, and a few other light mods, real clean car. Guy was asking 13k.

I stole mine 3 years ago for 10.5k out the door, and put less than 2k in parts into the car, so it is possible to find one in your price range.

Here's pretty much what mine looked like when it was all done:

I can't begin to tell you what a great car that thing was.

GS400 looks good

vinh, if your looking to save money, id pick a car that youd most likely be able to resist modding. even though we all know how hard that is

i am definitely considering it, really... but i guess i shoulda said my max is more 11k because 12k was like my borderline limit already

such a sweet right though, and of all the sedans ive seen, the gs400 is now near the top of the pimp line

sup shawn! i know exactly what you mean... i love the idea of modding but it adds up in the end... which is kinda why im leaning towards this 2003 rsx turbo for 9-10k.. already modded and ready to go (cept he said he recommends kpro which is about 1k, but not necessary)

im afraid of getting a plain rsx and wanting to mod all the time.. that or any ricer car

hows your ride been treatin ya?

I wish I still had mine, I'd let you go drive it. Only performance mods I had was an SRT intake and Borla exhaust. Made me smile ear to ear whenever I romped down on it. There is no other sound like a V8. Alot of GS4 guys do the supra rear end and a torque converter as these are the best bang for buck mods that will get you sitting in the low 13s with intake and exhaust.

Don't worry about the price at the moment, go drive one and see what you think, then we can worry about finding one thats in your price range.

found that gs400 for 13k... sold looked really sweet.. all of them look freakin sweet.. damn...

in any other case, i would definitely shell out 3k more for a gs400.. but i cant this time...

for one reason only..

ring.

Double your budget, lift the pre-2000 criteria and get yourself a NSX

Might I suggest a Mustang Gt! I know it’s sacrilegious around here to suggest an American car like that, but they are not that bad. I love my Z, but you can find a GT cheap and though we don’t like to omit it as Z drivers they are fast. My brother and I both got our cars at the same time; he has a 2000 GT convertible and I have my 03 Track. Stock the cars were about equal at the track in quarter mile times, but after we both put exhaust, pulleys, and intake on our respectable cars his was so much faster. My car still can’t break 13.9 and his has run as low as 13.2. Now he has 410 gears and 75mm throttle body in addition. Point being, there are so many more performance parts readily available and available at cheaper cost for the Mustang. It’s easy to get a quick Mustang without going FI. This was his second Mustang, he had a O1 GT all the same mods as above and that was a 12 sec car. High 12’s but still. It was only good in a straight line though. Anyways, I still would rather get in my car everyday. Anyways, don’t forget about the domestic market.

mustangs arent horrible, but i dont see them as reliable as a daily driver, hence why they are pretty cheap.. also comfort in one, at least the one i sat in a while back.. forgot which year it was, wasnt too great.. i do a lot of 5hr drives, so i like my comfort.. though they are fast.. in a straight line

i finally found my car. unfortunately, not a sports car. not a coupe even.

but its a nissan!

.... 2002 altime 3.5 se

very smooth ride, very budgeted ($7k). i figure ill save my money now and get a beater until i can afford the gt-r
that or a suzuki hayabusa, which i have been staring at for a long freakin time

i wonder how close to a pimp-mobile i can get a non-leather altima to be like that gs400... hmmmm
