Question engine damper

Been looking around and seen some engine dampers for the Z by ingalls and wondered do they actually work...does anyone have one installed on thier ride?

I would say just get one off ebay that has z specific mounts. I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference in effects between any of them.

I see little benefit.

If you have 1,000 HP twisting the front of the car you might go with solid motor mounts or serious engine bay support fabrication. But those little dinky things called “dampers” are about worthless.

The difference my Weapon-R damper made was "night & day" for me. I'm much happier now that I have it. Shifting used to be very difficult, would grind in and out of gear occasionally, but now I have no issues.

I have a tourque damper, very noticeable especially during up-shifting. I am hoping to upgrade to the ingalls soon just because they have the best design. Tradition style braces; stillen, weapon-r, etc. are a huge PITA to install but the ingals is pretty straight forward and everything is easily accesable with hand tools. If you say it's worthless you aren't very in tune with your Z, for FI I agree that sloid motor mounts would be a better investment but for NA it's definately noticeable.

My InGalls "Stiffy" ETD is for sale now in the SouthWest forum. Willing to ship at buyers expense when I'm home on R&R mid-March.
