I used a razor blade just enough to cut the middle part of the double sided tape from the factory. Make sure that you have a steady hand to cut the tape all around or else you'll scratch your hatch trunk.

Also buy some 3M Adhesive remover from Napa or any auto parts store. It would definitely remove all the adhesive left over. Hope that helps. GL

Are you getting rid of your spoiler?

I followed Leemik threads about installing Nismo V1 spoiler too. That thread helped me alot on how to uninstall the oem lip.

Get a hair dryer and fishing line, heat up the adhesive and "floss" it off. Should help a little.

This is how I removed mine:

1. Remove bottom of trunk lining (the plastic part under the trunk lid).
2. Remove (2) screws from the bottom of the trunk lid after bolts have been exposed. These are used to hold the spoiler to the trunk in addition to glue/double sided tape from the factory.
3. Close trunk and squirt "Goo Gone" all around the spoiler.
4. Use the provided tool (flat plastic scraper) that came with "Goo Gone" and start scraping under the spoiler trying to lift it up.
5. Or you could try hard rubber putty knives.
6. Work around the edges and apply more "Goo Gone" if needed.
7. Should come off in about 20-30 min.
8. I used "Meguiar's Scratch X" to remove the little scrape marks from around the spoiler - you can barely tell it was scratched at all.

It's pretty easy if you have someone helping you out.

Spray some Goo-Gone around the base of the wing. Use a fishing line to cut through the adhesive and clean up the rest with the Goo-Gone.
