This is the second hit and run in one month. The first was in a safeway parking lot. I just got it fixed last week too. Same exact spot.

Anyway, I went to a friends house last night. Parked on the road because his diveway was full. I came out, got in my car, drove the girlfriend home and then went back to my house. (It was around 11 so i didnt notice anything yet because of the dark) I remembered I had left my phone in my car so i went outside to get it and by coincidence i decided to go through the passanger side.

Then i saw it and my stomach sank. Someone obviouly backed right into my car. The front right quarter panel is demolished and the bumper is bent and scratched.

This morning, i found out who it was. Turns out it was my friends sister. She backed into my car coming out of the driveway. When i called her last night, she denied everything. After i told her i looked at her car and saw the damage, she fessed up. She must have cleaned the ground because there were no paint chips anywhere. The damage is ridiculous. Its obvious that she backed into it, and didnt notice it because not only is it dented, there is a giant continous dent and scratch as well.

Anyway, im stuck at work right now so I cant take any pictures. I will post them as soon as I get them though. It will be later tonight.

IM SO ANGRY! It hurts seeing my car like this.

At least you know who did it this time. Time to take advantage of this and get some CF fenders!

Im taking the car to get an estimate after i leave work around 5 so ill take some pics when i head up there. You'll be suprised what a girl backing up can do.

I just got my car repaired from my neighbor backing up into my rear quarter panel and bumper. I had it F***ed up for awhile and then decided to get the money from him to go aftermarket.

 

you should make her give you dome for the next year for lying who cares if shes ugly just close your eyes.

 

I feel your pain. My wife and I went to a home show last year at the state fairgrounds. They sell lots of products for home improvement and you get to see what's cool. Anyway, I parked the Z and a few hours later when we were getting in the car, I couldn't help but notice the huge dent in my door. It looks like someone just backed right into my door and jetted out of there. No note, no nothing. Estimate was $800, minus my $250 deductible. I wish I could find the person responsible....

Sorry to hear what happened to your car. It's one thing to hit a stranger's car and run (horrible in itself) but to hit someone you know and run is a new level of shameless. Your thread title is right "WTF is wrong with people." How old is the sister? Is she a young kid? It wouldn't justify the behavior but it might give some perspective.

 

I really might do that. Get an estimate, and replace verything with aftermarket.

She is 17. It is a new level. I mean... how can she think i wouldnt find out? Plus, after i saw the damage, i went back to their house, looked at her car... and ofcourse there was the damage. Some people are rather unintelligent.

 

It's those d@mn maryland drivers. This past weekend when I was putting my exhaust on I noticed a huge like 12-15" white scrape going down the bottom of my car to where the rear fender starts. I waxed my car like a month ago and that definitely wasn't there. I just noticed it once I was laying under the car. WTH would have even hit my car there? It doesn't even reach the door but it's past the clearcoat and it's white like car paint. grr

 

are you going to put the claim through insurance or just make her pay out of her pockets?
