Alright...get your mind out of the gutter damnit!
I have a unique opportunity next week to go to Detroit with almost 500 other Viper owners from across the country and drive my car on the Chrysler Proving Grounds track where Dodge/Chrysler tests many of their cars, as well as to a Detroit-local drag strip.
Thing is, I need a helmet that is race-track rated (i.e. not a motorcycle helmet, it has to be minimum Dot-00, Snell 95 or later)...and I have big head. At the SRT Track experience, I wore an XL helmet (not sure how the sizing works normally).
If anyone has a helmet they would be willing to let me borrow, I would GREATLY appreciate it, as I don't really have the $300 to spend on a helmet right now.
Thanks guys!

Not getting down on you at all bro. But I just think it's funny that you have a Viper and a SRT-8 and have the gas money to drive to Detroit in your viper...but can't come up with $300 for a helmet. LOL. I'd let you use mine but I think it's a snell 90. I know it's good for IHRA and I think NHRA tracks.

Some of you single guys need to realize that when you get married (in Kelly's case w/ kids) and are on a "married" budget it doesn't matter how much money you have it's hard to justify to the wifey spending 300 bones on a measley helmet.
That would then set a precedent that she could then blow $300 on a pair of shoes, bag, or something else that's totally useless.

LOL...a couple of guys here 'get it'. It's not that the $300 is a big deal, but a) it's foolish to assume that $300 shouldn't matter to me, and b) it's $300 for something I'm probably going to use once, maybe twice before it 'ages out' of use.
Anywho....we're in Detroit now and I ended up buying a helmet from OG racing. Thanks to those who kept it on topic and offered to help me out.
