I hate cops....
Sometimes i used to think lets give them the benefit of the doubt, ok, but the fact is they can do whatever they please whenever they please.
Tonight my wife and i are driving from my uncle's house and we get on route 7 along with a bunch of other cars, in front of us there is a big moving truck, we are in the right lane when the truck turns his left blinker and moves over to the left lane that had maybe 12 cars on it, so right away we see cop lights on the right shoulder so Melissa slowed down to maybe fourty (limit is 55mph) so as soon as we pass one of the cops pulls out and pulls us over WTF?
cop; u know why i'm pulling you over
Melissa; No
cop; there is a law that says u are suppoused to change lanes when u see a cop on the shoulder and u passed me at "full speed"??????????
Melissa; i did not now that im sorry...
cop; "YEAH NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THAT LAW IT JUST CAME OUT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO"
Melissa; yeah this is the first time i heard that
Me; so by this point i'm thinking if somebody hasn't taken the driving test in a couple of years wich i imagine IT IS A LOT OF PEOPLE you wouln't actually know about this law, unless they sed you a memo in the mail or some ****. Right?
Long story short, the ********** writes her a ticket for a moving violation because that will keep crime and bad people of the streets and give them a nice little paychek for meeting their quota.
As far as i'm concern there isn't a single decent cop out there that i have ever come across,
NOT EVEN when we had the cable people steal about $3000 from our house, BUT of course as good citizens we are we called the cops to investigate and all we got was a "THERE IS A VERY SLIM CHANCE YOU WILL EVER GET ANY OF THAT MONEY BACK" in fact this piece of **** wouldn't even go upstairs for me to show him where they took the money from.
Anyways they can all go to hell

I feel ya. There are a few good ones (like 5%), but the rest will all be rocks in their next life. In the meantime, sing it with me...

Most if not all get off on the power AUTHORITY TRIP. Like flashy objects like badges handcuffs and to have the power to play god. The older 1's I have known seem ok because there over the power trip and just want to retire. But ya I did know it was the law to move over . I do even if it's just a plain car pulled over unless I can not .

virginia is the worst for ignorant cops, especially down at the beach, ive gotten tickets for surfing, riding my bike without my hands on the handlebars (no bullsh!t) and skateboarding, cant wait til this summer to add to the list, at least with all the ridiculous tickets i get i can clearcoat em to the bottom of my surfboard and show em off

I got a written warning for speeding/Running a red light in Old Ellicot City on my road bike. Cop pulled me over flashing lights and everything and asked for my ID. People driving by were laughing at me. The best part is... He asked me if I knew why he pulled me over. "My pants are too tight officer?" I really wish I had the ***** to say that. HA!

Seriously you would think that they dont have a leg to stand on. If they are stopped how can they tell if its safe for you to pull off that manuver. It seems you could just go to the judge and say, I wasnt sure if someone was in my blind spot or whatever.
On another note, they had a problem in CT a while back with "topping" state troopers. CT troopers were required to wear their hats on a traffic stop and the Semis would try to blow the hats off the troopers. Until a couple of them got killed. I dunno. Sucks either way

I'm sure there are alot of laws you haven't heard of, that doesn't mean you can break them and get away with it. This is a pretty important law, recently alot of cops have been hurt or killed by rubberneckers. AND more states then not have this law.
You can't blame the guy for enforcing a law that saves him and his fellow co-worker's lives. I bet you won't be saying F' the police when someone breaks a law that effects someone important in your life, and you have to call them to come help!
