VIR is a world class racing facility. I have run many, many laps there. The full course (both North and South Circuits) is the "orgasmatron" of racing but unfortunately they run very few events that untilize the full course. It's the only configuration where you get to run the entire long back straight all the way from the Oak Tree Turn to the Roller Coaster!

There is also a run down dump called Old Dominion in Manassas VA which has a 3/8 mile paved oval and a 1/8 mile drag strip.

Drag strips- 75-80 New New Market MD, also Hagerstown called Mason Dixon and Cecil dragway.

Road courses besides that mentioned is New Jersey Motorsports Park. This site lists most of the "locl" ones: https://www.trackdaze.com/
