I did mine in my garage. Paid 70 bucks for the material took me about an hour. If you can tint windows you can install your own vinyl.

one of my friends has it had for about three years and it looks fine.. same care as paint. You can wax right over it and everything.

Justin told me that over time vinyl will fade but I guess how bad and how much you can tell will depend on the color.

You can wash it and wax it like you do the paint. If you want a matte finish you can wash it but do not wax it. Its all about the material. I only use Avery and 3M high performance material. HP vinyl will last about 7 to 10 years and that is against fading and pealing up. The better you take care of it the longer it will last. Good thing about vinyl is if you ever sell the car or no longer want the roof a different color you can pull it off and carry on.

I sell enough vinyl to do your roof for about half that price. Hit me up if any of you guys want to give a DIY a shot. It's pretty easy on a 350z, due to it's smaller roof size than most cars.
