Default Washington DC Trip This Weekend... Recommendations?

hai gais i'm going to washington dc this weekend from saturday to monday. we will be staying at the liaison hotel near capital hill. can you recommend some places to have lunch and dinner and possibly some places to go out on saturday and sunday night? i would like to go to at least 1 upscale dinner and a relaxed bar or lounge to hang out at in the evenings. a fun nightclub would also be good too.

Head to Georgetown and hang out on M street. Also behind M street on the water front are a lot of nice bars and restaurants with a beautiful view. You can't go wrong.

I come to DC almost everyday, take some time to check out the lovely sites of Anacostia, great food, happy people, lots of tourist places. If Anacostia is not the spot for you make your way over to Suitland its on the DC/MD border as well a gorgeous place with nothing but fun filled activities. Good luck.

Don't forget to take a moonlight stroll around lovely downtown SE DC. Usually the more colorful folks come out and they love to pose for pix or just stop and chat with you....

washington was a really fun trip. i spent Saturday checking into the hotel and walking around the national mall with my dog. i went to local 16 for dinner and had a great meal there. afterward i went bar hopping in adams morgan. i really enjoyed that area and lots of people out.

on sunday i went to some museums and had lunch at harry's restaurant and saloon on 11th street. i hung out at the roof top pool at the hotel for a bit and got ready to go out for the evening. i went to the waterfront and had dinner at bangkok joes. food was really good there and i would recommend it! afterwards i went on M Street and went to the Rhino Bar. that place was ok but really college. i got bored there and was starting to feel sleepy so i just went back to the hotel.

on monday i went to the space and art museum and had lunch at fogo de chao. i've gone to fogo de chao many times in the past in philly and baltimore but this one had the best service yet! thats pretty impressive since all fogo's are top notch.

thanks guys for the tips! it really helped me with finding things to do during my stay.

OMG that place absolutely disgusts me. It's packed with immature college kids. And it's like all white. I have nothing against that. But I like a little bit of diversity when I go to places.
