Whatever you want, but you must wear shoes.....no sandals. Shorts and T-shirts are fine.

There will also be loaner helmets available, but they can go quickly. It is always best to bring your own. Snell M2000 or better (meaning M2005, SA 2000, or SA 2005) are approved for use.

No. I mean when you check in on Saturday morning......you just mention morning only and they know to let you have an extra run.

^That's fine, but make sure you sign the waiver at the sign in table if you plan to take a ride....

You will love it! Do you remember when your first drag race was at an actual track? Well that's the feeling you're going to get when you're up at the start line. My adrenaline pumps every run!!

Don't feel bad about hitting cones.....my car is covered in scuff marks and such from hitting cones. You can't get fast until you know how hard you can push it without hitting them. Sometimes I forget to breath during my runs.....not so food.

It's a liability waiver.....common practice. Same thing you sign whenever you go into a motorsports event.

Cones in the wheel wells and under the car are cool...IF you were driving hard. haha. If you were just leisurely driving the course theeeeen you will get funny looks like can this guy even turn?? I've seen SCCA regional, national drivers hit cones and put them under their cars. Hell I've even seen those same drivers take out an entire corner. Just have fun. Make sure on the course walk you pay attention!! I don't know if the CDC will give a novice walk through like the NCCA???

Mike???

CDC does have a novice walk, and generally you could walk it once or twice prior to the meeting/novice walk. It may be beneficial to work an extra session to see what lines people are taking. I ran the scca regional last weekend, and there were no less than 30 spins. Countless cones and off courses.....it happens to the best. In fact the very first car of the day came spinning at me like a top (going 40-50mph) and I was forced to run and dive out of the way (I was 50+ft off the racing line). Don't be complacent when working....stay vigilant.

CDC courses tend to be more novice friendly (slower as well) than SCCA though, and I have never seen or heard of something so dramatic happening there....
