I'm curious to know why that customer would charge back an entire job?

I've seen some of the work come out of there and talked to a few customers. When you get irate with a customer and send him on a guilt trip because he had to cancel that's just bad business.

The only reason I could think of someone doing a chargeback and getting their money back is if they show proof that the work was not completed or completed in such fashion that it did not warrant the payment. Also, there would have to be a lot of chargebacks, as well as other lack of revenue for a business owner to be unable to make rent long enough that the landlord locks the owner out of their shop, then evicts the business, especially if the business owner has a second job . Must be pretty serious for investors in a business to lose enough faith they won't cough up the money to keep the company running. Oh well...

Interesting stuff.

I don't understand why people wouldn't take their cars to a Master Nissan Tech like Frank Hill, who will make sure your car is well tuned, has an OEM like installation, and you aren't taken for as much money as possible at the end.

Edit: NVM it's not even worth it.

Those who need to know more...know more.

People are entitled to their theories, thoughts, and opinions though...usually they coincide with their own personal goals...funny how that works.

Most of everything said over there was posted over here at one point. Not as updated but still the same info.

I think it was in one of the AAM threads.

Take this post with the upmost grain of salt being that he has an extremely negative bias opinion.

Why take it with a grain of salt? I'm not sitting here talking ****. I'm stating facts and others in that link are sharing their issues that are fact as well. I really don't understand your post here. The way I see it, the issues stated by people in that link, as well as myself are not valid because we have negative reviews? Do what has been reported and you will gain negative opinions/reviews. Pretty simple honestly. People typically don't just fabricate reasons not to like a shop, especially when some used the shop, even referred numerous people to the shop prior to the issues and none of the aforementioned have goals or agendas against the shop since none of us own competing shops(that I know of).

Seems to me that there would have to be a lot of charge backs(which would have to be proven by the customer btw), a total lack of revenue for an extended period of time, and no hope for future gains for investors to refuse to pay to keep the company running or at least from getting evicted, especially if owners/employees have other jobs as well. Not saying that is the case here, just what passes for my common sense and understanding of what an owner/employee/investor's role is.

I know some of you are friends who hang out frequently, so maybe you don't or haven't seen the way others are treated and are just trying to defend your friend, but these are factual reports of what has transpired. Don't see how that makes them irrelevant?

Just theoretically.....from a businessman's perspective....

So what if an "investor" has no more money to "invest" b/c they are also a victim of the current market?

Most people would take a second income to take care of personal debt and expenses...and not foolishly throw it away into a company sacrificing your personal well being. No?

Just b/c someone doesn't own a "competing business" doesn't mean they don't have a personal mission.

Everyone is entitled to develop their own opinions but here is why I would take it with a gain of salt...And Ian...this is coming from someone who used to call you a friend myself and can't figure out why there is so much animosity now? Just b/c Im friends with someone you are no longer friends with? Thats kind of childish. I have never done any wrong to ANYONE here or that I know...Im not that type of person and I think MANY people here can attest to that and who also know BOTH of us mutually.

You were both friends and roommates at one time...then a big fallout when you decided to leave for school in Kentucky and moved out. All that stuff you witnessed with your friends and wrote about you thought were so "Wrong" and horrific no one bothered to document or take a simple pic with a cell phone in the 2 hrs you were present? There was approx 3-4 of you there all with rather modern phones with decent cameras and witnessed the "horrible mistreatment of other cars" but did nothing but watch and take mental notes. You actually admit to helping this oh so horrible event too. And then you agreed to live with the guy AFTER you saw him do so many things wrong and mistreat your "Friends" property? Makes a LOT of sense to me.....

Put 2+2 together people something doesn't add up. Damage happened and responsibility was taken immediately but 3 months later after the car is taken to another shop, all this comes out... AFTER his EVO blows up at someone else's shop on their dyno at 30psi and the finger pointing starts flying. No one bothered to post their "story" during this or even immediately after taking the car elsewhere. There's a lot of accusation but nothing to back it up. It's been quite some time now and the situation remains the same....no "new developments" or "updates"? Even after the pistons have been inspected a few weeks ago? No "evidence" from the new shop showing the fault everyone is claiming? How come? No ONE has ever said "If Im wrong Im not going to make it right"...the issue is...no one can show where the "wrong" is. That and the fact it was taken and delivered MONTHS before is a valid reason to ask legitimate questions imo.

Also, typically clients can draft a letter and pay a small fee to an attorney to "endorse" it to reduce the legal fees that need to be paid. FYI it's pretty common.

This thread was asking a specific question...that has been answered. I don't really think it was intended to rehash old disputes or arguments.

Both investors are hurt that badly? Then the business itself must not be able to contribute at all to its own support. Also the business owner didn't save at all throughout the last few years of being in business?

Yes, when the business is completely failing and not bringing in enough money to put food on the table or cover rent, or other monthly bills, it is wise for the business owner to supplement his/her income. I find it surprising the business owner doesn't find it worthwhile to put money towards his/her company though. Again evidence that the business was just failing.

I stated in a previous thread that I have no personal issue with you, and that we're still cool as far as I'm concerned.

1. My friend's property(Evo) was moved by hand not towed, as stated previously.

2. The friends with me at the time can attest to the damage done to the blue G35. Who would I show pictures to? I don't know the owner of the car.

3. I only helped push the vehicles into parking spots after they were dragged with a strap around their sway bars.

4. 90% sure I was already living with the dude when he moved locations, therefore, also at the time he moved the cars in this manner. Either way, because he is negligent in the way he moves/treats his customers' cars, wouldn't cause me to think he would be a bad person to live with for three months, especially when I'm out 90% of the time. It doesn't reflect on an individual's personal finances either.

1. It wasn't at 30PSI.

2. The thread was deleted.

3. Why were pistons sent to the previous shop who installed the engine/heads/injectors/etc.,?

4. Why did the owner of the business ask if the Evo owner wanted new pistons only after they had been with the owner of the business for four weeks, and the owner of the Evo put up a thread on NAGTROC? While at the same time the business owner threatened and verbally abused the customer.

5. The owner of the business is doing what he did in the sale of the TT kit you and I both posted in, in the Mid-A FS section a while ago. Passing on guilt, saying you can't prove it 100% therefor f*ck off and leaving the customer stranded.

6. Issues with the poor install have been covered. The other shop literally laughed at the install, as they did when the GTRs sway bar was put on backwards, yet the owner of the business/installer of the exhaust, maintained that it was correct until picture evidence of a correctly installed sway bar was provided. Still makes me Lol.

7. Care to address anything in the link to NAGTROC? After all that he(my friend, owner of Evo/GTR) never even did a charge back.

8. BTW how is that silver GTR that's been promoted so hard going?

That is true, but that is not what was asked of me to ask of my attorney. I was asked to get his letterhead for you to use. No mention of a review or endorsement was made. Instead, it was along the lines of, "See if you can get his letterhead so I can send a letter to my previous landlord under his letterhead so it looks official."

You bring up old arguments, issues, or disputes, yet you don't want to discuss them?

You can save but there are also upgrades and putting money back into a business to make it better like upgraded welding equipment, parts cleaners, etc.

Whats wise about putting your personal life at risk?

I stated in a previous thread that I have no personal issue with you, and that we're still cool as far as I'm concerned.

Then why the random deletion on Facebook for instance? Or when I see you out (Chic Fil A for example) there isnlt even any effort to come say hi? Coulda fooled me that we were still "cool"

1. My friend's property(Evo) was moved by hand not towed, as stated previously.

2. The friends with me at the time can attest to the damage done to the blue G35. Who would I show pictures to? I don't know the owner of the car.

The owner hasn't reported such damage? And maybe to back up your claims of the "horrible mistreatment of vehicles you're so opposed to and witnessed?

3. I only helped push the vehicles into parking spots after they were dragged with a strap around their sway bars.

Subframes...not swaybars...go back and read your previous post on Nagtroc

4. 90% sure I was already living with the dude when he moved locations, therefore, also at the time he moved the cars in this manner. It doesn't reflect on an individual's personal finances either.

Im 100% sure that you weren't as you and your former friend/roommate have not seen each other once since and you left town to go to school....Wait...except when you took your car to the shop next door (also not "Nissan Certified tech"s FYI) and no words were spoken.

1. It wasn't at 30PSI.

Yes it was...this came directly from the new shop on a recorded phone conversation.

2. The thread was deleted.

3. Why were pistons sent to the previous shop who installed the engine/heads/injectors/etc.,?

Why did they send them back to F:T and not review them themselves and show us where there was damage due to the poor build practices from their own investigations?

4. Why did the owner of the business ask if the Evo owner wanted new pistons only after they had been with the owner of the business for four weeks, and the owner of the Evo put up a thread on NAGTROC? While at the same time the business owner threatened and verbally abused the customer.

I don't know of this but...Does this really matter? He offered and what happened? Lemme guess...declined?

5. The owner of the business is doing what he did in the sale of the TT kit you and I both posted in, in the Mid-A FS section a while ago. Passing on guilt, saying you can't prove it 100% therefor f*ck off and leaving the customer stranded.

Its not hard to properly document things....or just point fingers and make claims.

Look again at the pic....the exhaust wasn't ONLY hitting the sway...it was hitting elsewhere as well...so whats the point other than to show the car wasn't fully reassembled and the wrong was admitted and remedied before leaving?

7. Care to address anything in the link to NAGTROC? After all that he(my friend, owner of Evo/GTR) never even did a charge back.

Sure like the embellishment of conditions....for example...they NEVER salt the parking lot there and hardly plowed except for drive isles...they use sand b/c it's zoned for Auto industrial and that's pretty common. And the rest is all your "horrible practices" you witnessed but didn't bother to document. Post the invoice and see if everyone agrees that he was charged and nickled and dimed. At ANY point the owner could have taken the car and stored it elsewhere while parts were waiting to come out of R&D from other companies...but he didn't and knew about the conditions that are now all of a sudden no longer ok to him?

Personally if I saw other cars being treated so horribly I would def let my friend know right away...

8. BTW how is that silver GTR that's been promoted so hard going?

Running good. You must have missed it out running Summit Point and VIR.

No, you were asked to see if he would endorse a letter written...this statement quoted here differs from what you previously posted in this thread a few posts before. You literally just changed your claim from one post to another to back up the "negative". And what would simple letterhead do if it's not sent from and endorsed by legal council? Thats just plain stupid.

You bring up old arguments, issues, or disputes, yet you don't want to discuss them?
Im discussing them over and over....and I didn't bring it up....you did mang.

This isn't going to go anywhere...we're just rehashing over and over. I've said my peace and am done with it. When you or your friend want to show us these horrible things that were done sooo wrong....with proper documentation....you'll have our attention. Im sorry you and your friend have such negative experiences and "stories". I wish it was different as this was not the way our relationships were over the years preceding.
