Default CDC Autocross Oct. 31

Copied from their forum:

Sunday October 31st Harry Grove Stadium

AndrewTech's Halloween Autox Event - $15 and free food!

The next CDC autox is sponsored by AndrewTech (they are paying for the food and part of the entry fee).

This autox will be a Test and Tune event with no points. We plan to run event with the typical 4 heats with 3 runs in the morning and 3 in the afternoon (like a normal CDC autox).

The entry fee will be $15 for all participants. However, to keep with the Halloween Spirit, each participant that registers in a Halloween costume (a real outfit not just a button or hat - put some real effort in it!), you'll only have to pay $10!

$10 to autox with free food!

The field will be limited, and we expect the field to fill up extremely quickly. So make your reservations at http://www.capitaldrivingclub.com as soon as possible. We ask that you only make a reservation if you will definitely be there.

Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accommodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute.

On-line Reservation System

Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time. Open reservations for non-members for this event begin Friday October 1st.

New Bar Code System

This year CDC is using a new bar code system. Remember to have your car ready with the barcodes on the vehicle BEFORE the event. Attached are the bar code instructions, driver barcodes, and vehicle index bar codes. If you have a problem, we can also print your barcodes at the event, if need be.

New Members

We will be accepting new members at this event. If you plan to join the club at this event, you may make a reservation at this time by doing the following:

1. Use "0" as the member number (a permanent number will be assigned to you after you join and you will get a temporary number for this event)
2. TYPE "I will be joining the club at this event" in the NOTES section when making you reservation.

The annual membership is $30 and is good for 12 months from the date you join.
This event is for members and those joining. This event is by far the least expensive autocross you will ever attend. The membership is good for a 1 year.....from the date of purchase. This would mean you would be eligible for most of next season as well.

These test and tunes are even more lax than the typical events. They often feature far more runs as well. I will make myself available for ride alongs like last Saturday

i might make it out, but since I will miss most of next years events I cannot commit to a year membership to drive I would be interested in some ride alongs to see if I can follow the line and maybe drive in the November event.

So, do you have to be a member even to participate in the test and tune events?

Also, I went this past weekend just to watch at the baysox lot. How does this upcoming lot/ layout differ?

The Frederick lot is the smallest of the lots.......also probably my least favorite lot around. That said.....it is the cheapest autox you will ever see. The last test and tune day there people got some 30 runs. You DO have to be a member for these or register for a membership on site. It is only 30 bucks....
